literally calling himself a holocaust survivor because of one attack on the opposite side of the world from where he lives. absolutely grotesque

Lol the idea that filmmakers inherently 'bring the truth to the world' is some absolute on-brand ideology. Sure buddy, Birth of a Nation brought 'truth to the world'.

Anybody with even an iota of communications knowledge (and even that is usually suspect in it's theoretical content) knows that, if the truth exists in the world, at best a film can mediate that truth (hence why it is call media), it cannot 'bring the truth' anywhere.

Imagine comparing the death of 1400 settlers (Israel's figures, there are reasons to believe they aren't accurate - even haaretz said it stfu) to 6 fucking million of an industrial and targeted elimination of people who just happened to be Jewish (and weren't eliminated because they were an occupying army)
