The libertarian party is useful. There are certain governmental levers that must be dismantled before we implement robust social safety nets, and the libertarians can be used to help us restructure things. They are ready and willing to remove government programs.

But seriously the libertarian party in the US is a bunch of republicans who want to get rid of drivers licenses and remove the age of consent. They're an extremely unserious political organization with no real interest any kind of good governance. They are little more than children throwing temper tantrums when they have do do something slightly inconvenient that helps other people.
We've already seen what libertarian governance looks like when a bunch of libertarians moved to Grafton New Hampshire, effectively dismantled the local government in accordance with "libertarian values" and were subsequently overrun with wild bears because nobody was cleaning up their trash and locking it up to keep bears out.
My favorite example is out in Arizona (forgive me I can't remember the name of the town). They moved there because the land was cheap but wanted to contribute NOTHING to the local township while still being a burden on their resources. Then got BIG MAD when the town had a water shortage and decided to prioritize their residents so they cut off water to the libertarians forcing them to have to ship in water from elsewhere if they wanted to keep living there and suddenly that "cheap land" became very expensive to maintain.
It was unincorporated land if it's the same thing I'm thinking of. They managed to cry enough about it on the news to get a new water deal with the city.
They'll likely be annexed eventually, and that is going to be the mother of all tantrums when it happens.
There was a woman who ran a donut shop and would leave all the leftovers out for the bears. The town couldn't do anything to infringe on her freedom to feed wild bears in town.
I can respect that, especially if she ran a bear proof donut shop

US right wing libertarians. Though libertarianism is infantile to begin with, the US right wing version is even worse.
Free market just doesn't work. It should be plainly obvious to anyone, but apparently IT FUCKING ISN'T. The reason for price increase lately is because most markeds have matured into oligopolies or just straight up monopolies, even when it's not really obvious. There's like 5 companies that make ALL THE FOOD in supermarkets. If you look at candy there's 2 or 3 different producers disguised under different brand names.
Tech is the absolute worst when it comes to this. Nvidia has a straight up monopoly, and if the US government wasn't corrupt pieces of shit, that literally made bribes legal, they would have anti-trusted them at least a decade ago. Intel was running a FUCKING RACKET for years without any intervention, and when they did get a slap on the wrist the damage was done. FUCKING MICROSOFT. And despite changing their tune the last 10-15 years with the open source work they still fucking suck. Google is manipulating their monopoly situation both on web browsers (Chromium), Search and with Android (they recently made a change that makes it so that you can't install "untrusted" software even though there's absolutely zero indication that this is an actual security issue).
The hard thing is to INFORM PEOPLE that the system is rigged, because the people that rigged it is also in control of the information flow.
