Ran the calculations some time ago, and donating a half liter of blood gets rid of about 500kcal, which I can easily manage to do in under half hour not counting the paperwork. I think the only more calorie-consuming activity I can think of is liposuction or mutilation of body parts. Not that I recommend either, just a random thought.

Depending on a lot of factors ofc, the rule of thumb I've heard is that a mile of locomotion burns about 100 calories. Doesn't matter if you're jogging or walking or sprinting, it's just that of course walking gets the mile done slower. If a brisk jog means a 10 minute mile, that would be around 300 calories in 30 minutes. The 400 number likely comes from a treadmill, and those tend to way overestimate.

15 minute mile seems more jogging speed to me, once you're doing a 10 minute mile that's basically a light run.

I was never very good in track or cross country though so what do I know? I'm more into bikes.

Idk, a "brisk jog" to me means like 6mph or something, which would be a 10 minute mile. You can "jog" at around 4mph but there's nothing brisk about it.
