Why can't these people cook fries, like, they look fucking microwaved or something. They don't have cooking oil or like, ovens?? I figured they'd have industrial deep fryers on an American boat

Once again, I was misled by cartoons!
I've got a pal who I used to work with who now cooks for the coast guard. They have a well equipped kitchen and basically a limitless budget for ingredients and tools. Most of the people there still eat Kraft dinner and bologna but that's on them
