Hasan argues that no people are monolithic, and the scapegoating of Jews is a common tactic. That people understand that when Tucker Carlson says America has "demographic concerns", that is white supremacy.
He says that if Jews were monolithic there would not be such a generational divide on Zionism and billions spent to maintain its indoctrination.
Finkelstein says he would not tell someone who has experienced the Holocaust that they should not hate Germans. And that he would not argue with a Palestinian who feels the same way about Jews.
Norm cites that 95% of Israeli citizens agree with the force used against Gaza, and that its citizen army that represents its population carried out mass starvation as a method of war.
Hasan Piker says he agrees with the facts, but he has a more optimistic perspective in terms of changing people's minds on conflating Judaism with Zionism.
norman finkelstein probably has internalized antisemitism. minorities in 2026 have internalized bigotry so imagine what it was like for minorities back in the day. he lost most of his family to the holocaust besides his parents which is brutal and lives knowing that people still spread that bullshit ideology to this day. this is what i think is happening here. its especially soul crushing when a member of your group does some bullshit that youre stereotyped to do because you know that destroys your argument and gives ammo to the opposition. i can get that but he shouldnt say these things publicly.
What he said (At least the quoted part) is correct though. Jews proclaiming their jewishness and that their motivations are Judaism commit crimes against Palestinains, and Palestinians aren't wrong for noticing that.
It is frankly absurd to see a population suffer a genocide and react by policing perceived bigotry towards their oppressors.
His statement is absolutely correct when talking about 'antisemitism' among the victims of Zionism. The problem that I and others seem to have is that he seems to make no distinction between the perceived antisemitism of the oppressed and the rise in actual antisemitism expressed by random chud westerners and such who are not the victims of zionism, which is what I believe Hasan was talking about. In defending the supposed antisemitism of Palestinians, the way he is going about it, he is also by extension defending/validating the antisemitism of people like Nick Fuentes, etc. It is important to make that distinction I feel.
I'm not gonna police victims of oppression but I'm gonna police the fuck out of westerners who think they can use victims of oppression as shields for their theoretical deviations and laziness. It is shocking how much supposedly-leftist Anglo western spaces have started tolerating zog talking points and other idealism.

Yeah revolution in the west is gonna be an uphill battle for a lot of reasons, one of which is the aggressive, proud ignorance of a subsection of self-identified leftists. It's much more concentrated online than in irl orgs fortunately (although they are in no way immune to it)
Ironic, maybe, but online leftism, even in nominally ML spaces, is most similar irl to trotskyist orgs I've tried to work with. Vibes and in-group/out-group signifiers form the core of the culture, rather than theory and practice.
There are a handful of users here that I'd definitely call spiritually trotskyist and unfortunately they often seem to have the most free time to spend on the internet.
Honestly, refreshing to hear an outside perspective and useful for me to keep in mind. These muppets crying about their pet project and purity testing haven't touched grass in half a decade. I've got plenty of real world organizing efforts under my belt that have translated into material improvements in real people's lives. Who gives a shit if they sit around snickering at others or parroting reactionary bullshit? They're terminally online losers with zero reference for what they're actually discussing.
A vocal minority is going to disproportionately shape the overall tone here, but that doesn't have to disproportionately shape my self-worth, and it DEFINITELY shouldn't shape my worldview or strategy.

I think it's more so that he's become anti-IdPol and doesn't like ethnic-based carveouts for morality. The rest of his politics are very universalist/pro-meritocracy in nature.
