My friend in his first year of university like 16 years ago found Reddit and told me about it and how much he liked it and stuff. People used to be kinda' proud to be a Redditor. I don't know if anyone's like that now. Last time I heard people be kinda' joyous or hopeful about an internet thing was Mastodon which kinda' fizzled out. Haven't heard people be proud to use a website in forever, maybe because it's almost non-optional now.

But yeah, I think Reddit is probably increasingly bots, either by the creators or by 3rd parties.

I did see a car not long ago with a reddit mascot Snoo bumpersticker as well as "NAFO" and NATO stickers and some doges/"fellas", that seems to be the type to be proud of being a redditor. NAFO on Wikipedia for those out of the loop

The volunteer nazlib propagandist feels like the last person on the internet who'd be enjoying it.

Reddit was fedora 16 years ago

it was kinda cool in a techy hipster way for a while, it didn’t really get the fedora reputation until like 2015
