gas station pills are hilarious. somebody really should do a documentary or investigative journalism writeup on the whole logistical process, from the birth of an idea "RHINODONG MALE ENHANCEMENT XXL", product development, legal consulting, marketing, sales and dropship logistics. i want to know who is behind these things, where they are made, the mark-up, and how the shit they end up where they do.
fwiw John Oliver did a recent piece on them for his HBO show a few weeks ago: https://youtu.be/mRZqHzDG_c8
Not really a long form documentary but they tested some, went to a trade show, etc
jesus, this was eye opening. i knew it was completely fucked up, but it's so much worse than that. i'm glad they recorded some of the assholes too, the profiteers.
i had assumed they were mostly bunk, but holy crap so many are full of even controlled, active ingredients in concentrated dosages. and the labels are complete lies about contents.
i know there are a ton of independent gas stations and it would be hard to police those, but in the comments someone pointed out how when they and their manager didn't put out the pill displays (or tried to obscure them) at work because they're "dangerous", corporate/district managers came down on them. the whole thing is structured to let those making the most money point the finger somewhere else.
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
Thanks dad
that bit about family fortunes being built on blood almost makes late-night television worth watching
So supplements are regulated by the fda by complaint. So if I release a supliment containing live rattlesnakes that's fine. They will look into it when they get a complaint and not before. Supliments are presumed safe and innefective. They are usually innefective so that is okay. What happens with gas station boner pills is that they buy vigra byproducts and sell them in the pill. Some times they work, sometimes they have too much, sometimes they have too little. The quality controll is poor because they intented to sell them for a few months untill they get shut down and then reopen under a new lisence to avoid fines. I once saw a man have a small heart attack because they were to strong. His wife was with him in the hospital just smirking quietly right behind him.
His wife absolutely told him to go to the doctor and get a Viagra prescription, and he said 'the gas station has them for $4!'
My man put his life on the line to make his wife smile. It is beautiful in a way.
... There's a whole ecosystem there and it's pretty fucking hilarious. The raw ingredients are come from China or India mostly, the manufacturers are all over the place, and there's actually a thing going on where no one wants to be the one selling the WIENER BONER MALE VITALITY supplement that doesn't work so they're all at least a little bit overdosed.
I don't have time to look for sources but it's out there. Health Canada has a list of actions they've taken against has station boner pill makers.
I don't know about the other gas station supplements. It's changed a lot since it was sketchy fake weed and ephedrine pills/bath salts.
Yeah, I need to know what they're packing in those Intellifuck gas station dick/intelligence pills that are making me so smart
