Most of my driving is on like a 300-lane* highway and I usually try to avoid the 1-2 most leftward lanes (depending on the total number of lanes) if I'm not passing other cars and frequently get over into a slower lane to let cars pass if they're not tailgating, so that type of behavior feels even more absurd. Unfortunately, it means the situation where you are able to troll so well are much rarer since often there's also more lanes to even further to the right to pass in if they're willing to floor it and pass into small gaps between cars while going 80+ mphs (which they are).
