I only wash my hair every other day, sometimes every three days. I wash my body every day but not my hair. It gets oily for a bit but oil is just texture and eventually your scalp chills out and stops producing as much and you just have regular hair every day. I guess it depends on the type of hair you have but I have pretty wavy style curly hair and it doesnt need a wash literally every day.
Who told you you had to do makeup or skincare every day?? Do you tell the women in your life they should be doing their makeup everyday?? People talk about retinol every day, but thats wayyy too much and not necessary anyway. Might sound harsh but this sounds very much like internalized misogyny. It sucks to start being a woman after years and years of hearing about patriarchal misogynistic beauty standards and then realizing "oh shit this applies to me" and not having the mental antibodies for it yet - rest assured, youre a woman if you dont do your makeup every day and you dont wash your hair every day. Skincare if you wanna get into it can be a moisturizing sunscreen and your 100% of the way there, I have other stuff I do cause I like it not because I have to.
The stuff you have to do is what makes you happy, eggnog.
Well every 3 days is still more often then I wash mine tbh with you.
I guess I just thought that was typical?? Like a lot of the women in my life do at least something every day I feel like, even before workouts and stuff. Skincare I thought people usually did stuff at least once a day. Plus I know makeup can help with passing and stuff which is important to me.
No I just thought that was what most women did?
Skincare can be as simple as just applying some moisturizer after taking a bath. You can do something everyday yes, but it doesn't have to take a lot of time or effort. And remember, if you can do a little better than yesterday it's already progress, go little by little and you'll get where you want to.
So why would you "have" to do makeup? Especially if you are currently saying you dread it? You don't have to.
