I'm just gonna replug the old laptop and start messing with it again, I remember I tried to make window and linux run on it but I don't think I gave linux enough memory so it never finished installing and was just stuck in demo mode

I gave it another go rn first looking at the usb I flashed and Idk what happened it's only 5 mbs. I formatted it just now and it's still 5 mb
Did you use a partitioning tool? Like Gparted? Maybe at least use the tool to check the disk and see what's going on
I used some program I don't remember about since I saw a vid on it once I'll need to find the vid again
I'll recomend, just use a partitioning tool that has a gui (gparted is a trusted one) and see what's up with your partitions. Doing things in Linux the "proper" way is a tried and tested method of getting results.
