They did the opposite for Kennedy in Michigan. He is on the ballot and wants off but they won't let him.

Just keep on like you were with a little bit more flexibility and woowoo finance bro says you can retire in 3 years.

On the other hand, it's nice having a non-explicitly political thread where I can share amerikkka zionist-despair content.

And on the other hand there was this one kid who was a god at Qu'uran recitation (he would do it as a distraction strategy is how I know) but he needed to work on his phonics skills a lot who would memorize our little readers that we would send home by having his mom read it to him so he wouldn't have to develop his decoding skills in class. So happy for mans but we had to ban him from supplemental work because it was harming his growth.

For real! My heart broke a bit last year when a kid told me "I read the [thing] to my cat because no one else wanted to listen to me."

j.j I teach lower elementary so it hasn't felt super necessary but I'm worried they might complain. I think I'll give out some fun reinforcement activities for class points and not for grade credit. Esp. since a lot of my kids don't have much support at home so it doesn't seem fair.

Plus they're in class for 7 hours a day! Let them have a break and a chance to be kids.

It's to measure insulin response in diabetic people. Also it's not plain, it's pumpkin spice! :p

The goal is to give someone under monitoring a very large volume of sugar in a controlled environment and measure their body's insulin response. This is particularly a test of Phase I insulin response when your body responds to sugar intake by releasing stored insulin as opposed to Phase II insulin response where your body secretes insulin as it is produced to bring down elevated blood sugar after the Phase I stores are depleted.

That said this is a nutty amount of sugar and I had no idea that they made them this large.

Seconding @starkillerfish@hexbear.net. I gave up on games a while ago because I realized how anxious they made me and how bad my body felt after playing for an extended period of time. I mostly replaced it with reading and by spending more time with friends but I don't think I would have been able to give it up as effectively without those avenues which are not accesible to everyone.

What is the source for this.

They would have to just hang out and not really be able to leave for 5-6 hours while our other friend is working, but could do their own thing. Basically they are just there for safety reasons if anything happens to our friend doing the work who we have a fair price established. First friend has a lot of sedentary hobbies so boredom isn't a risk but I want to treat them fairly.

My old one got squished in moving. It was a Kobo Klara I got as a gift. Before, I had a refurbished kindle paperwhite 7th gen that I liked the UI of much more but didn't like having an Amazon product.

Wondering what is out there now.

My main desiderata is that it has warm backlighting and is small. Would also like better .pdf reading than the Kobo that was basically non-doable.

Evidently this swampmoding swelter is a byproduct of late-Summer corn perspiration or 'corn sweat'. All I know is the air hurts and I don't have no A/C. Time to see what slop they're slinging at the cinema!

E: update I went to play cards at an air conditioned bar with my friends and now I got two box fans pointed at me.

I will be blocking anyone who patly, rotely, or otherwise provides a sniveling, braindead 'amber' reply to this thread without further contextualization or theorization.

This is not a badpost.

I didn't even say any words beyond mentioning the name of a nation. Looking into this.

Looks like wh*tes are also protected.

But not.... ....single people! Sorry volcel-vanguard

E: per the comments, landlords are people, Auzzies are not. Sorry reverso settlers...

I don't know if it makes 100% tactical sense but the symbol of resillience is really powerful.

Reddit is the heart of petty bourgeoise discontent. Its telling that even people who look like they have it good to us are also discontent and feel precarious. Their attachment to the proletarian cause is thin and not only certain, but as the crisis of capitalism intensifies, more and more of them will enter/be dumped in our camp.
