MODERATORS
When they say 'martial law' what they mean is a coup. That's what it would entail. They are demanding that our republic be dissolved and a fascist dictatorship be put in its place. Don't let conservatives slide on this. They are enemies of democracy and need to be called out for it.

It is EXTREMELY wishful thinking to think that even if the midterms result in a MASSIVE loss for the president that it will result in any change whatsoever. He's already ignoring and executive ordering to cancel out acts of Congress. Replace EVERY single member of congress with a democrat and it STILL doesn't matter because Congress has no teeth whatsoever. The ONLY outcome of a massive loss will be a momentary loss of face that he will just spin his own reality around anyway, and everything will continue on business as usual.

Lol, the house and Senate don't get to refuse anything. The states send their representatives to Congress and they became the new Congress in January. This isn't a special election.
They're going to win control of at least the house, and from then on Trump will be a lame duck president. Any play at martial law won't work and will just make Trump look like even more of a pathetic joke, they would need many millions of people in the army to actually enforce it and they don't have anywhere near that.

Retired federal judge J. Michael Luttig and other legal analysts warn that Johnson could install a partisan loyalist who refuses to place certified Democratic members-elect on the official roll, thereby preventing them from voting for Speaker and effectively blocking a Democratic majority.

Even with Democrats controlling the House, Donald Trump retained several significant unilateral powers in the second half of his first term (2019–2021):
Executive orders and memoranda – He directed the executive branch without congressional approval. In fact, he increased his use of executive orders and unpublished memoranda once facing a hostile House, particularly on immigration policy. Appointments – He nominated federal judges, Supreme Court justices, and executive-branch officials (subject to Senate confirmation, which Republicans controlled). Most notably, he nominated Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court in 2020. Pardons – The pardon power is entirely independent of Congress and cannot be overridden. Foreign policy and military command – He could make executive agreements (no Senate ratification needed), direct military operations, and set diplomatic policy. Veto – He will still block legislation Enforcement discretion – He will direct how federal agencies prioritize and implement existing laws.

The only good news is that a lot of us have thought this was happening before now. Su they might not pull it off this time either.
And some progressive candidates are making progress.
It's very bleak. But it has been bleak for longer than much of the world noticed. So far we've survived albeit not without many losses and setbacks.

But this is all just to set up for 2028, and a dry run. Not for the president of course he doesn't care about anything outside himself, but for the party, it is.
If they control one house of congress, they can refuse to recognize results and fillibuster it until it gets thrown to the States, where every state gets one vote, and they control over 30 of them.
That is one of many cheats they are planning, last resort kind of one. I suspect they are going to try and electronically cheat at vote totals, given that they got the inner workings of all the voting machines in swing states from pillow infomercial douche's group he set up, getting hard drives from states like michigan, arizona, colorodo, and everywhere else. It all varies by state, but I suspect they've been cheating as such since 2016 when the poll numbers were so offset from the actual results.
I'd like to see some exit polling to confirm because that is traditionally the most accurate.

That is the way of these moderate democrats, accused of cheating first, now they would rather the country fall than call out the projection of cheating from the republicans. It sounds too stupid to be true when you say it out loud, that's how you know it's true.
