“You haven’t asked me one fucking positive question,” he said. “All of this. What about this? What about that? What about that? What about this? All negative.”

The president had been asked about whether Mitch McConnell should resign from the Senate because of his health issues. Trump responded by indicating that videos of McConnell struggling were a “disappointment to a lot of Republicans,” before noting that “Sleepy Joe gave pardons to everybody.” He then exploded, questioning why they were asking about the White House renovations so much, and griping that they hadn’t asked him about Venezuela. Time pointed out that they talked about Venezuela at length earlier in the interview.

“I don’t understand. I’m sitting here. I’ve done all this stuff,” Trump said. “I took the White House and made it beautiful again.”

Here's a positive question about his deeds that a reporter should ask:

Mr. President, how good did it feel to rape children?

You haven't done one positive thing

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 3 points 3 hours ago

Maybe they should ask positive questions like "When will you commit suicide?"

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 17 points 10 hours ago

It’s not the reporters job to ask you a “positive” question you fucking pedophile.

‘The most uneducated buffoon in history stands at a podium, bloated with self-importance, lips pursed like a carnival barker ready to sell turd milk to the unsuspecting. He grins a grotesque smirk stretched across his face as he scrawls his name onto a hollow decree, a sham celebration of the dismantling of knowledge itself. The Department of Education falls, not with a bang, but with wheezing verbs, suffocated under the weight of his own staggering ignorance. Surrounding him are the usual suspects: cowards in expensive suits, servile sycophants clapping like trained seals, and racist opportunistic ghouls picking clean the bones of democracy. Liars, fools, and thieves all parasites fattening themselves on the hardships of the many. They stand in rigid formation, dead-eyed and soulless, their allegiance sworn not to country, not to principle, but to power, and the dark, festering rot that clings to it. And there he is the convicted wrong, the living embodiment of septic tank spew, his voice a noxious fog of grift and grievance. He lectures the world on right and wrong, irony clawing at the walls, desperate to escape the grotesque theatre of his moral void. The stomach turns, the air curdles, and for a moment, history itself recoils watching, in horror, as the great American experiment teeters on the precipice, led by a man who couldn't spell "precipice" if his life depended on it.’

Well then do something positive for once, you stupid Narcissistic fuck!

[–] RFKJrsBrainworm@sh.itjust.works 5 points 14 hours ago

It should be spelled Nazicissistic for the orange fuck stain's particular variety of toxic narcissism

Until recently, I wanted Trump to join Our Lord Jesus Christ as promptly as possible.

Now... I kind of dig it. He is openly legally impaired, with sagging stroke face and hungry piggy eyes; everything he does is excruciatingly humiliating for all Americans.

So, now, I want him to live out the rest of his term, and publicly rant and suffer and bloat and curse the world with screaming rages. I want everyone to watch.

I want the whole world to see... THIS is why you limit the powers of a President. THIS is why you should remove your Nixon's from office. LOOK AT THIS

“I used to wonder how it was possible that Trump could have won in 2016 and then again in 2024, given how emotionally toxic, morally vacant, and psychologically mangled he is. I do not wonder anymore. He won for that exact reason. He was not a candidate. He was a mirror. If you were a racist, you found your guy. If you were a misogynist, you found your guy. If money was your only religion, you found your guy. If your heart was armoured shut, you found your guy. If you mocked disabled people, you found your guy. If you hated intelligent people, you found your guy. If you were a rapist, you found your guy. If you enjoyed golden showers with Russian sex workers, you found your guy. If you had done absolutely nothing to confront your emotional wreckage, you found your guy. If you were a serial cheater, you found your guy. If you were a perpetual bankrupt, you found your guy. If you stiffed honest workers, you found your guy. If you were a conman, you found your guy. If you mocked people’s appearances, you found your guy. If you longed for a toxic Daddy, you found your guy. If you were dissociated and disembodied, you found your guy. If you were unconscionable in every economic dealing, you found your guy. If you lied as naturally as breathing, you found your guy. If you had never eaten a green vegetable, you found your guy. If you were a white supremacist, you found your guy. If your ego contained a hole so large not even the presidency could fill it, you found your guy. If you were a sociopath who cared not one molecule about other humans, you found your guy. If he had only two of these traits, he never would have won. He won because he had hundreds of them, and millions of people recognized themselves in at least one. This has never been about Trump. It has always been about the people who finally had their worst instincts validated. Trump did not create the cruelty, he licensed it. He handed out permission slips for hate. He is merely a symptom of a far deeper disease: collective toxicity. If there is one sentence that explains Trump’s power, it is this: “He says the things I’m thinking.” That is the part that should chill the spine. Who knew that tens of millions of Americans were thinking such unconscionable things about their fellow citizens? Who knew how many white men felt so threatened by women and challenged by minorities that they were ready to torch democracy to feel big again? Who knew that after decades of apparent progress on race and gender, so many people were living in seething resentment, waiting for a demagogue to legitimize their worst selves and convert their bitterness into political power? We were living in a fool’s paradise. We aren’t anymore." — Michael Jochum

They dont fucking care bro they dont want the country to do well, they just want to hit it big on the next scam and retire to some third world country where they can get cheap prostitutes, that's what trump voters want they don't give a shit he's ruining the country.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 31 points 1 day ago (1 children)

People, especially Americans, are not going to learn a lesson from Trump embarrassing his country. Things will get a whole lot worse before they get better.

[–] rumba@lemmy.zip 12 points 1 day ago

Those who voted for him will vote for the next, more coherent, directly vile version of him. One that does exactly what dictators have done before.

If we posted every pic of him sleeping on the job we'd probably crash lemmy.

Keep in mind this is the same guy who was threatened with contempt of court like 2 dozen times for falling asleep when he was convicted of 38 felonies

"I took the White House and made it beautiful again"

Nobody asked for that and nobody cares but him.

[–] YragNitram1956@feddit.uk 2 points 11 hours ago

Trump's personal aesthetic is brash, vulgar, and bold, characterized by an obsession with gold-gilded interiors, glossy surfaces, and faux-historic finishes. He simply no taste. Look at this shithole!

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 24 points 1 day ago

Plus, it's objectively wrong.

The White House is considerably more ugly and tacky looking than before he was elected.

Another day, another lie from Trump.

[–] Zombiepirate@lemmy.world 39 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Besides, he turned the east wing into a crater and the rest into a gaudy, tasteless travesty.

Destroyed the lawn for his white trash celebration

EVERY reporter in the pool should ask Epstein questions only.

Whether it's Trump or Schumer, exclusively Epstein files.

[–] BillCheddar@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

It's not their job to glaze him like the chubby lil Krispy Kreme Klanner he is.

It will become a national holiday the day he died. Americans will make the annual trip to Florida to take a swing at his unearthed casket.

I just want to see one of these reporters, or anyone really, break decorum and just go off on this motherfucker to his face. He’s just a big fucking coward when it comes down to it. He just never has to confront it, and that’s a shame.
