“You haven’t asked me one fucking positive question,” he said. “All of this. What about this? What about that? What about that? What about this? All negative.”

The president had been asked about whether Mitch McConnell should resign from the Senate because of his health issues. Trump responded by indicating that videos of McConnell struggling were a “disappointment to a lot of Republicans,” before noting that “Sleepy Joe gave pardons to everybody.” He then exploded, questioning why they were asking about the White House renovations so much, and griping that they hadn’t asked him about Venezuela. Time pointed out that they talked about Venezuela at length earlier in the interview.

“I don’t understand. I’m sitting here. I’ve done all this stuff,” Trump said. “I took the White House and made it beautiful again.”

Here's a positive question about his deeds that a reporter should ask:

Mr. President, how good did it feel to rape children?

You haven’t done one fucking positive thing.

Edit: …on purpose

[–] obvs@lemmy.world 100 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

If the world is lucky he might do one soon.

Eat any good books lately?

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 34 points 2 days ago (2 children)

The high gas prices are making EVs appealing, even without subsidies.

[–] Octavio@piefed.social 28 points 2 days ago

OK but he hasn’t done a positive thing on purpose. 😂

I've got a nice etrike. I haven't tried to get it on the train yet, but if I can I will be able to access most of Northern California, instead of the 30 mile radius around me

Honestly I only use the car like once a week, and it's for a rehearsal I could probably take the train to

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Just avoid taking that on during commute time. Those things don’t fit compactly into the bike rack, and they piss everyone off during commute hours.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The fact that I exist pisses a lot of people off so honestly if they can't make that small an accommodation, it's on them

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I guess is depends on how busy your train system is. In my city we’re packed in like sardines during commute hours, and during those busy times those things create situations where people can’t get in and out and properly.

Technically the train conductor and police are supposed to keep an eye out for that shit and make sure bikes don’t block aisles and doors, but they don’t and the wide and long bikes often block mobility when trains are packed.

I commute with something pretty slim that easily tucks into the train racks.

That's not quite true.. he did have the flags lowered to half mast for a week when Dolly Parton passed. Besides that one thing, yes.. you are correct.

[–] Feidry@sh.itjust.works 41 points 2 days ago

I highly doubt that was done on his order. More likely, everyone was going to do it anyway and he just took credit. Because that's all he ever does. Fucking useless trash. JUST DIE ALREADY YOU OLD FUCK!

[–] MIDItheKID@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I think he also passed an executive order that made abuse of an animal a felony. So like... 2 positive things and 100,000 negative things. Pretty much equal.

[–] mattyroses@lemmy.today 12 points 2 days ago

yeah, but his FBI is now gonna be staffed by animal rapists, so . . .

[–] qarbone@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

Once is a coincidence. Twice? Basically Gandhi.

...he shares a few proclivities with Gandhi, in fact.

[–] TwodogsFighting 1 points 2 days ago

It wasn’t kinky enough, had to make it illegal.

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 10 points 2 days ago

he was only doing that because of his own image and the negative press and backlash had he not done so.

C'mon, don't be so pessimistic.

He increased the price of oil significantly and (fingers crossed) permanently.

This lead to the biggest push towards renewable energy powdered consumer devices than any president before him.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I would love for a reporter to respond that way to him, dead-pan style.

[–] chrislowles@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago

If outlets are gonna get banned anyway they might as well go for it and say it.

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He thinks stealing their oil is an accomplishment

[–] eurodyne@piefed.world 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Their dirty oil that we can’t even use

[–] evidences@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Nah he can sell it and put it in an account in a qatari bank that the government may or may not control. That counts as we right?

[–] CobraChicken3000@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 days ago (2 children)

he got COVID that one time...that was decent day

And then there was that time he "mysteriously" disappeared for a weekend or two weeks or something

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 days ago

Seeing that helicopter haul him away filled me with hope.

[–] Goodeye8@piefed.social 6 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Should ask what good does he think he has done. Let the man dig his own grave.

[–] Wispy2891@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

his mind lives in a fantasy world, he thinks he's the best person to ever lived in the history of the world

[–] forkDestroyer@infosec.pub 7 points 2 days ago

"he made the white house beautiful again" didn't you hear?

[–] veni_vedi_veni@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

There's already enough material out there that he's dug to the other side of the globe.

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That's just not true. What about the times he got nearly assassinated?

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 2 days ago

The "nearly" thing is the problem
