Sigh.
He literally stopped acting because he thought movies had become slop in the 90s.
And to think of what could have been...If he had just seen Master of Disguise...
Gene Wilder is probably able to be turtley enough for the turtle club, tbh
I remember hearing Majel Barrett recorded a whole phonetic library in the 90s, so she could continue to be the voice of the Star Trek computers after she passed away. It doesn't get used, because none of the rights owners want to pay her estate the fees they charge.
willy = penis
wonka = wanker
stay woke 👁️
I'm so woke I've gone far beyond Woke 1 and Woke 2 ..... I've achieved Woke 69!
Well what if her blessing is shit
This is really sad. My personal rule for remakes is you shouldn't do them unless you can improve or add something to them and definitely shouldn't use AI like this. Willy Wonka is an american classic and we are just shitting on art at this point. I feel like the og hollywood movie period starts with the Wizard of Oz and ends with Willy Wonka. I couldn't get thru the first ten minutes of the Johnny Depp remake because it was so creepy and didn't have any of the charm the Gene Wilder version had. A good example of an appropriate redo imho is The Wiz. If you've never seen it I highly recommend it. They didn't try to copy the original Oz note for note but instead did a reinterpretation from a black american perspective. Wiz takes place in Harlem instead of Kansas and was made using a very deep bench of Motown talent featuring artists at the height of their careers like MJ playing the scarecrow and Dorothy played by Dianna Ross.
The miniseries remake of Cape Fear is really good and it has Javier Bardem who played Anton Chiguhr in No Country for Old Men as the antagonist.
Yeah I saw that and it was good. You can't go wrong with Bardem.
I can't wait for the grave.
It's OK, someone will upload your voice into the Torment Nexus to use for AI cold-calling people to tell them their vehicles' extended warranties are about to expire
From "Young Frankenstein" to this undead Mr. Beast crap. :netflix-cool:

One to not watch then, got it.
Karen B. Wilder, Wilder’s wife, said in a statement on behalf of the Gene Wilder Estate:
"More than five decades after Gene brought Willy Wonka to life, people of all ages and backgrounds around the world continue to find joy, laughter and inspiration in his performance. Gene had a remarkable ability to bring humor, wonder and heart into people’s lives, and that connection has endured for generations. We are delighted that ‘Wonka’s The Golden Ticket’ celebrates the warmth and imagination that he brought to the role, introducing that magic to a new generation while honoring the fans who have cherished it for decades."
I wonder how much she made off this shit. And how much more she plans to make.

Last week, [ElevenLabs] released an “Odyssey” audiobook featuring an AI-recreated Michael Caine ahead of Christopher Nolan’s feature adaptation, and it debuted a version of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” read by an AI Garland ahead of “Wicked: For Good” last year.
Karen Be Milder, please, we're begging you
