Joking aside whats that "tree" for?
It's a hidden cellular service tower. The antennas are poking out through the top.
Yup and they come in a few different shapes and sizes depending on your area and flora.
They also cost like 5x as much to build, and limit the types of radio hardware that can be used, usually meaning less effective coverage. All for a handful of vocal NIMBYs complaining about how regular towers look (and almost always also complaining about having poor signal).
Don't forget the idiots who think wireless signals are physically harming them. When these go up, complaints drop.
What they don't realize is that the sun outputs the same frequencies, so all life, for the entirety of Earth's history, has been exposed without issue.
