The work I do is more important than bureaucratic bullshit. Basically the opposite of this meme, for which I'm very thankful. It's the executives and board members whose turnover is comparatively absurd.

When cornered though something something excesses of ism.

Trans issues is the big one because the reality is so counterintuitive that even renoun internet celebrity scientists utterly fail to engage with the actual research.

I even feel compelled to stress that yes the science supports the need for unequivocal acceptance of trans people.

Indeed. Mostly because of starting, enabling or continuing the various unnecessary armed conflicts in the world right now.

We also know there's been no actual reduction in government spending as well.

Neither. But we can't have such nice things.

I've never experienced less angst than here on Lemmy honestly, and mostly good faith disagreement.

Reddit is still bad faith capital of the internet, at least where people first sound like they're worth arguing with. I haven't touched a conversation anywhere else in years though.

Just "unpopular"...

We're in for history repeating itself if we keep talking about Trump and the present moment like any of it is normal.

Nobody should forgive the Republicans until they've apologized for the damage they've enabled. There should be commitments to undo the damage. Of course it won't happen until MAGA is dead.

How can it be good for the world if everyone is spending more money on their militaries?

[–] ynthrepic@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

And rare earths. Don't forget rare earths.

I'm not clever enough to do anything but let the meme speak for itself.

Someone glorious on Lemmy made this for me a while back, and it seems to be becoming more and more apt. Enjoy.

Among other talents! 🍺 (sauce)
