Please familiarize yourself with them

2) All posts must end with a '?'This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?

4) NSFW is okay, within reasonJust remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com. NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].

5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions. If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.

This is a very serious question. Since what we usually refer to as "weight" is actually mass if we use weight-loss drugs are we technically using weapons of mass destruction? :3c

No - As Einstein proved, mass can neither be created nor destroyed, they’re more weapons of mass transfer or weapons of mass conversion…

So like a Stadler Kiss for body mass

More showerthoughts material than anything, but I can't see an error with that argument.

I’m not clear where the “weapon” part comes in.

[–] ComradeKitsu@anarchist.nexus 2 points 4 days ago

the fat reserves will see it as a weapon

They are carbon positive. With people losing weight, that fat gets released as CO2 into the air

Damn fat jabs destroying the environment!11

Doubtful since they decrease appetite, which will decrease carbon emissions far more than the tiny amount your body releases.

Consider the carbon cost of manufacturing and distributing the drug too. The most carbon friendly thing you can do it store as much carbon as you can in your body. After you die we can seal you in a drum and throw it into an exhausted oil well.

I'm not getting fat, I'm sequestering carbon to save the planet
