So I don't generally believe in the supernatural stuff, but I've had a few experiences I can't explain that still freak me out a bit.

I used to live in a 3 bedroom apartment with a rotation of 2-3 other roommates that worked out being about 7 different people that lived there during the 2 years I lived at the place. Every single one, including myself, had a nightmare experience that only happened while living there.

The nightmare wouldn't seem different from an average dream. Then you'd notice a presence like someone who wasn't supposed to be there. Eventually the discomfort of this presence would become overbearing and wake you up. Which is when you'd realize you were in sleep paralysis and hear a woman screaming loudly in your room.

Eventually you'd shake off the paralysis and have to decompress from whatever the hell occurred. But man was it strange that it happened to all 7 roommates the exact same way and was isolated to that random apartment.

Bonus experience - At that same place I once woke up to my computer turning on by itself. The monitor lit up my small room and when I woke up to see what was going on it looked like my room was filled with smoke. There was no smell of smoke, but in my sleepy haze I didn't care as I thought it was a possible fire. So I carefully touched the door handle to make sure it wasn't going to burn me. It was fine, I opened the door and it was dark and normal for the middle of the night. I turned back to my room and watched the smoke somewhat slowly disappear. I have no explanation for what I saw that night and have never had a similar experience since then.

Yeah something kind of similar happens to me occasionally, usually when I am trying to fall back asleep in the early morning. It's very... violent. It happens just as I'm falling asleep, I call it "passing through". My eyes are closed but I will see bright flashing lights behind them, I have the sensation of falling, and I will hear a really loud sound like a train horn or sometimes screaming. And I get pins and needles across my whole body.

The cool thing is if I succeed in not freaking out and waking back up I always enter a lucid dream on "the other side" although it usually only lasts for a minute or two.

I was invited to an Automatic Writing class.

For anyone not familiar: You relax, do a little meditation, and put pen to paper. You think about what you want to ask, and watch as your hand writes the advice or answer your spirit guides need you to see.

That's the story at least. We could debate the forces involved, but that's how it was presented to me.

I went in with an open mind and followed the directions. After about a half hour of nothing, I decided to give it a test. I spotted a fruit bowl in the other room, I could see that there was fruit in it, but I couldn't tell how much, so I asked how many pieces of fruit are in the fruit bowl. My pen slid across the page and down. Clearly, I had drawn a seven. I went over and checked the bowl and there were exactly 7 pieces of fruit in the bowl.

I later also asked if a promotion that I was sure I was going to get, was going to be good for me, and I wrote "nonononononono" which I thought was nonsense at the time. About a week later, I did not get that promotion, but because I didn't get that job, I was able to take another, better position that opened up at a location much closer to my home.

I can't explain it, but it's all true.

I was reading late at night in the living room. Decided to go to bed, so i put the book down in the center of a large coffee table. I went to bed and just after falling asleep, i woke up to a loud bang. Ive dealt with exploding head syndrome my whole life so i thought it was that at first but it sounded different. I got out of bed to make sure all the doors were locked and stuff and saw my book on the floor of the opposite side of the living room. There were no animals in the house, i was completly alone and all the doors were locked. Also, it didn't sound like the book fell onto the floor. It was a BANG, like it was thrown flat on the floor hard. The book was in an open area about 10 ft from the coffee table. By the way the book was a thick hard cover book, not like a magazine or something light.

I was walking with a couple of friends at night in Pennsylvania. there was this absolutely GIGANTIC insect that was in the shape of a moth.

it was like 3 feet large and we couldn't get a clear picture of it since it was so dark, I figured it was a shadow being casted by a light somewhere else.

that was when, all of a sudden, the "shadow" started to fly up! all 3 of us just ran away... that happened like 15 years ago, now I want to research gigantic insects in the shape of a moth lol

I don't know if this is spooky, fucked up, or just really funny (in my twisted sense of humor)

In college. I was a workaholic and didn't sleep a lot, and I lived in a student dorm (layout was like a hotel, each student had their individual room) that was fairly well-liked by upperclassmen. Anyways there's a random girl I know outside of class with a friend group. Generally a bright and upbeat person, quite well put-together, also an international student, etc...

There was one night when I was just passed out on my dorm bed. And at 3am in the morning, I saw that particular girl standing in front of my dorm room with the door open. Crying, being really sad and all... Later was escorted away by the RA.

What I still couldn't comprehend is... First of all, why the heck was my door unlocked. Second of all, why was this random person standing in front of my door. Did she want anything from me. Also later I never heard from that girl again, what happened to her

This one time when I woke up, my glasses weren't on my desk where I left them, they were on the nightstand!

Some sort of sleep paralysis maybe? Some people hear noises and/or experience strange bodily sensations during them, I believe. Quite normal, albeit unpleasant.

I was born. Which has been a very trippy and -one might argue- paranormal experience.
