the most spirituality israeli movie to ever exist. also why the fuck your main character is a 10 year old with cerebral palsy? how much sympathy are you trying to farm here?

[–] robotElder2@hexbear.net 28 points 5 days ago

They probably couldn't get it to draw a character that convincingly moved like a healthy person for long enough to be protagonist. They think that they're cleverly turning a technical limitation into award show bait but it will probably be terribly insulting to actual people with cerebral palsy.

Every shot is 15 seconds or less because the slop machine falls apart after that. Expect every character to vary significantly in appearance every scene

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 24 points 5 days ago

I'm expecting everyone to move in ways that make my skin feel itchy

[–] Evilphd666@hexbear.net 2 points 5 days ago

Slow moving as not to deviate too much. Probably in the style of 300 because testosterone and Persia or some shit.

a 10 year old boy with cerebral palsy

The fuck?

This sounds like those movies that people who have only consumed Capeshit come up with to slander cinema as "too hoity-toity"

[–] segfault11@hexbear.net 11 points 5 days ago

[–] Ildsaye@hexbear.net 31 points 5 days ago

Every genAI filmmaker seems to not only not care how uncanny the result is, but to be hell-bent on being as untrue-to-life as possible catgirl-disgust

The end goal of ai is to fully automate capitalism, not as luxury gay space communism but mass genocide of the poor, the final wet dream of fascists and capitalists, isn't it?

[–] plinky@hexbear.net 34 points 5 days ago

No, it’s to grift next sucker/state and then kill people demanding higher salaries in the global south

I love how "accepted by a marquee film festival" is being thrown around like some kind of fucking accomplishment. So you had the right connections and bribed the right people, big fucking deal.

[–] Leon_Grotsky@hexbear.net 26 points 5 days ago (2 children)

The requirements for acceptance at Tribeca are like a $90 fee and you have to pinky swear you haven't premiered anywhere else yet

[–] wizardbeard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 5 days ago

Holy shit that makes this even more pathetic.

Honestly shocked to discover this was not an Israeli production.

Two British-Indian brothers in the UK, it seems like.

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 21 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (2 children)

Who funded it?

Edit. Apparently they spent $2K. I figured they at least spent $50K if not $100K.

[–] regul@hexbear.net 27 points 5 days ago (1 children)

according to the press they've put out it only cost $2k to make

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 19 points 5 days ago

Heh. I figured they at least spent $50K if not $100K.

[–] WokePalpatine@hexbear.net 21 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Does it need funding if it's LLM-slop?

[–] CrawlMarks@hexbear.net 8 points 5 days ago

Pretty sure he's British-Iranian? This appears to be one of them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashkan_Kooshanejad

Interestingly someone attempted to remove something from this wiki yesterday. This section:

He is the CEO and co-founder of Oorbit Inc. Oorbit raises $5M from Mark Cuban, Deadmau5 and more for metaverse and one of the founders of Auxuman Inc. Citation: https://venturebeat.com/2022/03/17/oorbit-raises-5m-from-mark-cuban-deadmau5-and-more-for-metaverse-platform

sore-loser Iran, well...well...we can do AI videos too!

[Enter prompt] Dreams of Violence ([SMITHERS] Sir, it was supposed to be a color revoluton per the playbook)

Did I say Violence? Well....ahh Violets! Violets I mean Dream of Violets..haha..yeah. That's flowery enough right? (Genius, sir) completely fictional fabrication because we don't have any actual support for our aims, but the prompt gets the gist.

A hysterical (ahem)...HISTORICAL docudrama!
