Play games

With their genitals

[–] navigator@piefed.zip 18 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Playing music (jamming or performing) together. Nothing beats getting into a groove with fellow musicians.

[–] toomanypancakes@piefed.world 7 points 2 months ago

That was far and away my favorite part of playing in a band. Shows are exhilarating and all don't get me wrong, but just a regular opportunity to jam with other people is fricking amazing. Good call!

But not too many pancakes.

[–] actionjbone@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago (2 children)
[–] SpikesOtherDog@ani.social 10 points 2 months ago

Then you have eaten too much, and then it's not fun any more.

[–] nocturne@slrpnk.net 3 points 2 months ago

At least get their permission first.

[–] Pudutr0n@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

That's a good one.

[–] protist@retrofed.com 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This has to be a euphemism for something sexual

[–] Maiq@piefed.social 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

What's wrong with sharing a few good ol flapjacks with friends?

Can it still involve their genitals?

[–] Pudutr0n@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago (5 children)

Heatedly debate with them from a place of bad faith about events and concepts that are not actionable and we have no control whatsoever about, getting extremely winded up and emotional during the entire process, speaking louder than what's socially acceptable, using very cheap half baked arguments and ultimately appealing to made-up authority figures if they corner me, until they admit I'm right, even if just out of sheer exhaustion or sarcastic condescension.

Hey, I'll take what I can get.

hbu?

[–] toomanypancakes@piefed.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Me? Dance dance revolution. It's so much more fun with a partner, not exclusively but in part because you feel less dorky with someone else doing it with you. If I had more stamina hubs and I would play for hours.

[–] Pudutr0n@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I hear it's very cathartic. Is it mostly for goofing around or do you get competitive?

[–] toomanypancakes@piefed.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Mostly for goofing around haha, it's just fun to do. I can't play nearly as well as I did when I was fifteen and a dude, so I'm pretty sure I'd die in any sort of competition.

[–] Pudutr0n@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Sounds great. Hope you get to do it again soon.

I like it when they give me money

[–] Pudutr0n@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

I like it when they give me money too! What kind of money is your favorite to receive? I like it when it's in pixel format when they have a lot of 0s.

[–] SharkWeek@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 2 months ago

I really enjoy hiking, especially in the sort of places where you can explore and choose different routes ... hiking is nice, because you're getting exercise, fresh air, and you can talk to whoever you're with, with enough time to have a proper in-depth conversation.

And when you're out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature's beauty, you can fuck them.

[–] taldennz@lemmy.nz 9 points 2 months ago

Just one person? And aside from pleasantly passing the time with random chatter...

Squash.

Loved playing squash with someone of similar ability, just socially keeping score in a endless game until we're too tired to play.

Thinking of nothing else for a time, focused on the game.

Sadly my health hasn't been up to that for a while now... But that was great.

As a group activity. Table-top RPG with long-running worlds.

Usually D&D but even system-less story-teller games. Whether running the game or playing it.

Role-playing with an experienced and familiar group of friends that can flip instantly in and out of character to chat about the game as much as play it - that's great fun. We could do that all day (and in some instances most of the night)...

[–] DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I really wanna just talk fringe topics...

Like alt timelines, butterfly effect, philosophy (especially ontology), space travel, aliens, fermi paradox, time dialation, black holes, you know, all the very werid stuff...

But unfortunately, people IRL seems to not like to talk about these things...

The other thing is just... I guess exchange life stories...

[–] Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

My dude you just need better people. My spouse and I gab about stuff like this all the time.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yeah but getting new rockets is super costly and hard to do. Stupid NFA getting in the way of my morning desk pop.

Is the anus a genital?

[–] confuser@lemmy.zip 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Hey I just got a RSS feed post about this topic

https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/Mqg2bqFw8k79sW7C2/you-should-try-contra-dancing

They give one example and explain the nuances of it but its really can be any sort of dancing or adult sports or board game nights or movement arts like taichi, judo, jiu jitsu, or climbing gyms for practicing bouldering, could be volunteering in some cases or LARPing, any sort of rexourring outdoor group that is physically away from devices and is pro social in a way that is low stakes where everyone has their attention on something else so the shy people have a easier time to get in

TTRPGs and occasionally a lil' crime.

[–] luthis@lemmy.nz 6 points 2 months ago (7 children)

Mountain biking in the rain. Biking is fun in general, but in the cold rain and mud, it's a mission you're on together.

SCUBA diving. The best part about it is peeing on your buddy....

But seriously having someone to talk with after a dive where you have seen something amazing is a great thing.

Sharing snacks eg nachos, chips and dip

[–] djdarren@piefed.social 3 points 2 months ago

Drive down to a beach nearby and sit in the car with a bag of chips, watching people walk by with their Very Good Dogs. My wife and I love it.
