Please I don't want to go back to a musket meta the load times suuuuuucked
badposting
badposting is a comm where you post badly
This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.
Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?
Rules:
- Do not post good posts.
- Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
- Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
- This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
- This rule intentionally left blank.
- If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.
Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo
alright fine, here. Here's a lance and a really fast horse, go charge the enemy lines
HELL yeah all my hours in fire emblem have gotta count for something
The anticipation is a large part of the fun! And they're like gacha-guns in that you don't know what you'll get when you pull the trigger.
I think this is a great idea, the market demand is clearly there and I think we can sell the message to the young that muskets were actually way ahead of their time.
Plus with modern medicine.. actually no I still don't want to get hit with a half inch ball of lead at ten paces.
And they're like gacha-guns in that you don't know what you'll get when you pull the trigger.
All we need now is to allow people to stream their shots during battle while reacting like gatcha pulls, and all the recruitment problems will be solved. And gatcha streams would be more exciting if one of the possible pulls was, "Blows up in your face"

I personally think we should have a Highlander type scenario where each country chooses one fighter with a sword and whoever is the last one standing becomes the global hegemon. Could be done maybe every 10/15 years.
This idea is also interesting. Countries could choose not to participate and live in peace and harmony, but for those who do choose to participate it'll be like they each get a violent Dali Lama.
I wouldn't want to be too prescriptive about how each violent dali lama highlander should spend their non-championship years, since there's so much scope for regional variation and cultural expression, but it should absolutely involve a lot of walking through distant lands to learn the mysteries of their fighting spirit.
Here's the deal. If we bring back katana vs katana battling I'm down to fight in Iran and I don't care which side I'm on. You don't even need to give me citizenship afterwards or whatever. The way of the blade greater than greater than send tweet
You're gonna get scimitar'd in half friend.
Deal
fuck that we need to go back further and go back to sword and medieval warfare, harden your heart saudi arabia and conquer warsaw and berlin
Not enough battles with 110% casualty rate anymore.
Joe many liberals does it take to 110% casualty rate????? None , their to busy ???? Their city walls 😂😂😂 😂😂😂
Ranged weapons have been dominating the meta for literally hundreds of years, there's like hundreds of melee weapons that nobody uses anymore and the moment they tried they'd just get shot. How are people ok with this??
a good take on my /c/badposting?
Big stick still wins the meta. I agree the whole thing is unbalanced but for guys like me this is just a skill issue.
Yet another thing ruined by Americans smh
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
We get it, you play Holdfast.
I agree and I think smokeless powder should be restricted and banned from use. This would solve a lot of the balance issues will otherwise arise from this sort of drastic change to the meta.
if you can see further than 40 yards out on the battlefield, you're just larping. also if you haven't gone deaf from all the gunfire either you're just a child playing pretend
Exactly and I don't really care if you have a machinegun if you're forced to fire black powder. You aint seeing shit and I'm already behind you with my beard on fire and a brace of pistols.
Disagree drones are cool actually and we need to keep the meta fresh. I do think we could have a few battles each year with throwback themes. Like everyone clearly wants to get the gang back together for another Crimean war and who doesn't want to see some carriers be brave enough to actually go in the gulf for a bit and have some ww2 dogfights and drop some torpedos.
The compromise is drones with swords. Try and cut the other guy's fiber optic cable and you win.
Fuck that planes are bullshit. Anything in the air better be launched from a basic mass driver and not be capable of independent flight.
Whole infantry combat experience has been basically just not fun since planes were added.
This is why we're doing it as carrier vs carrier combat; all dogfights, no AtG griefing.
maybe we should have a designated aerial combat zone or something for warriors like yourself, but otherwise I think you're missing the main point here.
Look if we can't have a new and interesting weapons technology paradigm each week then I don't even see the point of having wars at all to be quite honest.
I'm sorry I think I must have spoken over you I didn't realise you intended for the meta to rotate. I should sit down and shut up because that is a good idea.
I'm glad we got that settled so we can keep on doing wars, it would be unfair to all the soldiers who already died if we stopped.
Do we have to contract 18th century diseases that kill 80% of us before we get into the fight too or are we just using the weapons and tactics?
