Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Goddamnit I'm so sick of him. Holy shit. Not in a "How can this get any worse," kind of way. I know it can get much worse. It's just the grease of his fingerprints on every aspect of my FUCKING BEING. I can't take a breath without hearing something about him and I think it might legitimately be driving me mad.

Edit: Peel the orange.

It's just the grease of his fingerprints on every aspect of my FUCKING BEING.

It's that rapist mentality.

Only need to sway a handfull of senators to really have an impact. I dont know why people are putting pressure on red senators.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Well both of mine suck balls and haven’t responded to anything I’ve sent for years. But yeah, maybe they’ll find their fucking souls.

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

i wish the no kings protests would focus on the senate and the supreme court. trump is a demented lost cause.

[–] stylusmobilus@aussie.zone 3 points 10 hours ago (2 children)

Peaceful shutdown.

Four weeks it’s over, they’re impeached.

Eight weeks, most of you have your jobs and possibly improved healthcare back.

If you’re that sick of him.

[–] backalleycoyote@lemmy.today 8 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

You really think they’d leave peacefully if they were impeached? At best we’d force their hand early since I think whether through ignoring the Constitution and running for a third term or straight up declaring dictator for life, that’s what’s coming in a couple of years.

[–] stylusmobilus@aussie.zone 1 points 7 hours ago

they’d leave peacefully

The goal would be to get the others to force it.

Perhaps not but maybe that kind of thing should be considered by a lot more people at election time, especially when warning was given and a trial run to be had.

We wouldn’t care so much if the price wasn’t so high for the rest of us, based on failure to fuckin vote.

[–] chemical_cutthroat@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

Yeah, I'll get right on that.

Cashless economy starts now

[–] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Every where I go now charges extra for credit cards. Now I'm going to be hoarding preTrump cash.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 hours ago

If I were a business I would charge extra for being forced to handle rapedonald bills.

[–] Bluefalcon@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 6 hours ago

We should put it on money, just like this

[–] Danarchy@lemmy.nz 6 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

If someone tries to pay with a trump signed dollar I will simply rip it up and throw it on the ground

[–] P1nkman@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

Don't. Get it, write on it (pedo or whatever you want, scribble out his name etc), then use it. Once it's sent back to a bank, they'll have to destroy it and create a new. Do it enough, and it'll cost do much money to print new ones that it'll devalue the dollar.

[–] LincolnsDogFido@lemmy.zip 2 points 8 hours ago

That'd be very illegal and you'd 100% charged and prosecuted, but I agree with the sentiment

[–] Sarie@lemmy.world 42 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

Well, that's one way to devalue the dollar.

[–] nixfreak@sopuli.xyz 22 points 11 hours ago (1 children)
[–] Ghostie@lemmy.zip 4 points 11 hours ago

Excellent pun

Maybe someday they'll be collector's items, like things with Hitler's signature.

[–] hitmyspot@aussie.zone 5 points 9 hours ago

Maybe, but those collectors will be viewed with suspicion and scorn, like hitler collectors of today, that are not museums.

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 3 points 8 hours ago

Does anyone not understand? This is a warning shot, just like the ballroom. He's telling us he won't leave office except feet first. There won't be any election.

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 5 points 9 hours ago

Fucking loser.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 7 points 11 hours ago

Fuck Donald Trump and everyone who supports him in any way.

Just because I haven't said it yet today.

[–] kokesh@lemmy.world 10 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

He's the führer, so it makes perfect sense.

[–] neon_nova@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 11 hours ago

Really? I’d say my physical dollars are worth more now.

[–] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 2 points 9 hours ago

I like that this is exclusively reported by ”Vanity" Fair

[–] Murse@slrpnk.net 1 points 8 hours ago

Now is a great time to buy stock in companies that sell stamps of things like tiny little dicks.
