I made the correct choice. I want boring. That's the whole reason I left Windows. Printer drivers constantly failing, WiFi drivers somehow, constant power drain and overheating while my laptop was asleep and in my bookbag.

Do I want to die? No.

Best I can do is wish them death and in the meantime voice my disapproval in peaceful protests and repeatedly demanding more of my representation AND fellow constituents when it comes to enforcing laws.

Oh don't be like that. I specifically asked you to provide a rebuttal if I was ignorant to something. 🙄

He had two options. Allow new data centers to be built or put a moratorium on new data centers. If you're mad that he chose the latter, then you support the former. If I'm missing something, please give me the thought process.

Maybe you can say more can be built with documentation of proper power sourcing, noise damping, permits, etc. But it wouldn't be well received here. People would just say that the state is okay with it and just wants their cut. Plus at the end of the day, its just another data center owned my monstrously wealthy individuals. The upfront cost, hard/software complexity, and the economy of scale for data ensures that there is no mom and pop data centers. So competition within the space is already minimal.

He's done nothing but good in Illinois since getting elected. If we're going to start lopping off the billionaire class' heads then I'd be campaigning to make his the last to fall.

Your proposed solution is to keep allowing data centers to be built all over the state which clearly no one wants, so the best we can do for now is stop any more new projects and figure out how to manage them.

Its going to be pretty pricey but the commuter bag from LTT is probably exactly what you are looking for. Canadian company that's mostly tech centric but they have a consumer goods portion of the company that focuses on making high quality items that are built to last.
