Attorney General Pam Bondi has moved into military housing after facing growing threats from cartels and irate Americans, according to a new report.

The New York Times reported on Tuesday that Bondi moved out of her Washington, D.C. apartment and moved into a military base in the area. The report noted that Bondi has been facing numerous threats since the Trump administration's decision to capture Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro in January. At the same time, a growing number of Americans are increasingly frustrated with Bondi's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, according to the report.

"Ms. Bondi is the latest administration official to move into heavily guarded quarters at military facilities in or near the nation’s capital after citing danger from criminals, adversaries overseas and protesters," the report reads in part.

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

What exactly does Maleficent have to worry about?

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 hours ago

I equate that to what Ghislaine Maxwell is experiencing right now. They are both locked down, but not prison.

[–] Ellvix@lemmy.world 48 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Or, hear me out, she's pretending to be under threat to justify more violence

[–] kittykillinit@lemy.lol 7 points 5 hours ago

I hope they get her.

There aren't any cartel threats

Also, this shows it feels fear. Keep it up

[–] definitely_AI@feddit.online 2 points 1 hour ago

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 45 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Fuck this cunt, I really hope we get some justice and she goes to prison. But until then I hope she feels scared every waking and even when she sleeps.

[–] fizzle@quokk.au 3 points 2 hours ago

[–] meco03211@lemmy.world 26 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Don't the cartels know the DOW ~~is~~ was over 50,000 dol... over 50,000 points?

[–] northendtrooper@lemmy.ca 13 points 10 hours ago

That's why they had to move her to a military installation. Like the movie SPEED, she is in great danger when it falls below 50.

[–] acantharea@lemmy.world 24 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Hmmmm how many of these people are on military properties now?

[–] fulcrummed@lemmy.world 13 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (1 children)

Miller, ~~Vance~~, ~~Boebert~~? I know there are more… Edit: Rubio, Noem, Kegsbreath

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 6 points 10 hours ago

Noem! Dropped like a hot potato she is deep in the finding out stage now.

... took me a while to realize you mean Hegseth. These are all rather big names.

According to the article above they did it "citing danger from criminals, adversaries overseas and protesters". No adversaries at home? Only criminals and protesters?

[–] rafoix@lemmy.zip 24 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

lol cartels

Did they give her a review for her acting?

[–] definitely_AI@feddit.online 1 points 1 hour ago

6% on RottenTomatoes.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 15 points 10 hours ago

I hope she doesn’t get a peace minute for the rest of her miserable pedofile protecting life. Hopefully she ends up with a long prison sentence

Maduro has no connections to cartels and the trump regime has released prominent cartel figures so 'cartel threats' is a lie.

If this is anything more than a publicity stunt, the only real threat is maga voters upset at her covering for pedophiles. Whether the victims are the innocent or maga, the perpatrators are always maga.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 3 points 10 hours ago

‘cartel threats’ is a lie.

Agreed. The phrasing was they had to move "citing danger from criminals, adversaries overseas and protesters". The placement of the "overseas" qualifier strikes me as deliberate; I think plenty domestic adversaries are ready to take action, and I for one would not call them criminals. In that I guess I disagree that "perpetrators are always maga".
✊✊✊

Always throwing protesters in with criminals is another thing that really sucks about this rhetoric.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 15 points 11 hours ago

Hm, that seems so very normal.

[–] ChadGPT2@lemmy.world 8 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

It’s great to see these evil people are being forced to live in shame. We have at least that much power.

[–] definitely_AI@feddit.online 1 points 1 hour ago

We are getting to them, that's for sure. It doesn't do enough of a difference, but they sure as fuck know how despised they are, because it shows.

[–] Eternal192@anarchist.nexus 9 points 11 hours ago

I guess defending pedophiles and criminals hasn't worked out as good as she thought.

[–] Pyr_Pressure@lemmy.ca 7 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (2 children)

Why has she not quit? She insists on spewing lies for the Trump administration?

If she is getting threats now, does she think it will just stop one day?

If Trump dies and the admin decides they want a new face, does she think they will show any loyalty to her? She will be kicked out on military housing the next day and then need to fend for herself as people still threaten her for all the bullshit she did.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 5 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Trump himself will throw her under the bus on a whim, despite her toadying.

[–] definitely_AI@feddit.online 1 points 1 hour ago

I still wake up every day and cannot fathom that this is the reality we are living in. It's a daily struggle.

[–] SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml 3 points 10 hours ago

The bus is idling just around the corner waiting for the word from He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named.

[–] circuitfarmer@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 9 hours ago

Is this winning?

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 3 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Is it a base within reach of Iranian drones? Pretty please...

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 2 points 7 hours ago

Yeah they should move her to a FOB lol.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 2 points 10 hours ago

The current MAGA admin has been fucking around for over a year - now they are entering the finding out phase.

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

That will make her easier to arrest in after the midterms.
