This is a dumb poll.

  1. People are pissed at Democrats because of Trump
  2. Nobody wants Harris to try and run again
  3. Newsom isn't a candidate

Do this poll again and see how AOC, Mamdani, and Sanders are against Trump. The question in this post is asking which type of Turd Sandwich you'd like, with no option for "None of the above".

Trump is wildly unpopular, and people will vote against him, but if you're asking which other unpopular candidate you'd vote for, it's a stupid question.

The people who these media companies serve don't even want to acknowledge progressives exist.

[–] KimjongTOOILL@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The people are telling you that they'd rather try facism out over the milquetoast business as usual bullshit that the democratic party is trying to shove down our throats at the behest of billionaires. Citizens United has made it so that a politicians target audience can simply be AIPAC, health insurance companies, or whatever bullshit cause that has enough incentive to entitely bankroll a politician. Everyone is sick of the status quo while the wealth gap keeps widening.

It is absolutely insane that the economy is currently working because of the spending of the top 6% of income earners are still spending money.

  1. Newsom isn't a candidate

The DNC will use the last bit of power and relevance it has to force Gavin Newsom on us as our only option, mark my words.

The only people surprised by this are insufferable centrist liberals.

And during the few moments that we have left We want to talk right down to earth In a language to virtue signal so you understand

How has nobody better stepped up yet

Walz was a rising hope, but the propaganda machine basically chewed him up and spit him out.

They've managed to associate him with fraud that other people are responsible for, and which, furthermore, are orders of magnitude worse in R governed states.

But, sadly, you can't polish your image by saying "I had nothing to do with that fraud!"

Still, I hope he finds a way. He'd be the best president we've had since Carter.

It's wild that this shit works while people like Rick Scott get a free pass after being implicated in the largest health care fraud in US history.

The 'R' signifier next to a name really is OP

Whose fault is that? MAGAs always act like EVERY Dem is a demon straight from Hell. Dems aren't obligated to believe them. In fact, just the opposite - If MAGA hates them, that's a good sign that Dems should support them.

The Conservative Propaganda Machine works mostly because Democrats believe it, too.

Dems need to stop allowing MAGA to decide who their leaders should be.

[–] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 2 days ago

People don't want to piss off the party by announcing before the party favorite is in/is soundly removed from contention.

[–] kittykillinit@lemy.lol 13 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Why do democrats love bad candidates?

They could've had Bernie fricken Sanders!

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Bernie Sanders would have been a mess. He would probably increase minimum wage, introduce healthcare for all, making a nuclear deal with Iran, and call Russia the enemy again, and secure relations with all US allies.

All those things are anti American now. The new America is opposite America. Try to keep up!

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 days ago (3 children)

There already was a nuclear deal with Iran from Obama's administration. Trump tore it up for literally no reason.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

No reason except for Trump it's a HUGE reason if he can destroy anything Obama did.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Oh, he had reasons. It has to do with people like PEDOnald having their brain broken by the existence of a black President.

[–] supersquirrel@sopuli.xyz 1 points 2 days ago

We must NEVER let this be forgotten in the US.

[–] paultimate14@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

He would have given us 4 years of government gridlock because the Supreme Court and Congress would have absolutely shut down anything he tried to do.

Which still would have been great. I just don't think he would have accomplished much of his agenda.

[–] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Sad part is that is how lots of Americans think. Thank you red scare!

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Sad part is that is how lots of Americans think.

Yes if Trump still has 41% support, there must be A LOT of Americans that think like that.
Here we call thinking like that being insane. In USA it's called being right wing.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

Why do democrats love bad candidates?

Because billionaires own all of the media. And billionaires don't like progressives.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago

It's important to Democrats to choose candidates that won't offend MAGA.

[–] shittydwarf@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 days ago

America is so fucked

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Pitting 2 democrats against Trump, will obviously split the democratic vote.
Democrats got 61% and Trump 41%, but that's 102%
So IDK how they made this survey, but it seems dishonest.

Even the 41% for Trump alone without considering the Democrats seems very high ATM.

"We couldn't have a better pool of candidates."

Uh... why not? Please?

[–] Zak@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

Less unpopular would be a better way to put it. They're all well under 50%.

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 7 points 2 days ago

We are suffering from having absolutely no left here

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Poll:

Would you rather:

A.) Support trump B.) Eat a turd sandwich for lunch everyday forever C.) Receive papercuts between your fingers once daily for the rest of your life

[–] Spacehooks@reddthat.com 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 2 points 2 days ago

Agreed! Pain is just weakness leaving the body! Shit sandwiches... nah.

I WILL NEVER SUPPORT A PEDOPHILE RAPIST PIECE OF SHIT. NOT EVER.

[–] Ghyste@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

How'd I know who posted this article?

[–] return2ozma@lemmy.world 0 points 2 days ago

It's an obvious warning the Dems shouldn't run either Harris or transphobic Newsom.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Trump more popular than gouging your own eyes out with a rusty spoon. But only because only half of those surveyed saw the Melania documentary.

"Throwing up in your mouth more popular than a wet fart and a hot water on a paper cut."

Like... can't we have none of those things?
