Very close to just saying "Please don't care about those savage BROWN people being blown up and crippled by our military, that's soooo unimportant and just a distraction!"

William Frank Jr., born on this day in 1931, was an indigenous environmental leader and treaty rights activist known for his use of the "fish-in", a civil disobedience tactic used to win indigenous rights to natural resources.
A Nisqually tribal member, Frank is particularly known for his grassroots campaign for fishing rights on the tribe's Nisqually River. Frank was arrested more than 50 times in the "Fish Wars" of the 1960s and 1970s because of his intense dedication to the treaty fishing rights cause.
The tribal struggle was taken to the courts in "U.S. v. Washington", with federal judge George Hugo Boldt issuing a ruling in favor of the native tribes in 1974. The "Boldt Decision" established the 20 treaty Indian tribes in western Washington as co-managers of the salmon resource with the State of Washington, and re-affirmed tribal rights to half of the harvestable salmon returning to western Washington.

Incredibly telling that the second a genocide victim gets too uppity every resident cracker on this site immediately goes into “not all men” mode and plays the entire deck of “anti-white racism” cards. Acceptability of genocide isn’t predicated on whether people who share the same religion as the perpetrators support it or not.
In an ideal world every cracker who sees the murdered people of Gaza and whose first concern is about antisemitism would be permabanned. Instead we get months of frothing rage demanding the POC on this site do a song and dance to satisfy the political sensibilities of a super special group of whites. (Yes I know not all Jews are white, but this is an American site so just look at the demographics for the US. Supermajority white and for all intents and purposes functions the same as any other group of whites in the US). Imagine if half the discussion of the holocaust on this site was concerned with how it made the Germans look bad. Would the local whites lecture an Auschwitz prisoner who says they want to kill Germans to watch their tongue? My guess is it would depend on their skin tone.

Normative take on interracial relationships + my rant
I'm sick and tired of people saying "I only date my own race" or "date your own race" it sounds inappropriate, it sounds racist and it sounds wrong, just as long as the person is kind and is a good person, it should not matter what someone's race and ethnicity is
This is a YouTube comment I copied verbatim from a YouTube video by a more "woke" Black woman talking about interracial relationships. This comment got 60+ likes and no pushback, really.
Listen, I am not going out here and telling other people, "Only date your own race." I got better use of my energy, but what is disturbing is this being conflated with a personal refusal to date out. Saying I "[sound] racist" and "[sound] wrong" just for acknowledging that race matters, and that includes in the context of the relationship with the person I'd be the most intimate and personal with for the rest of my life, is woefully misguided and undialectical.
This should be very obvious, but for some reason, it isn't.
Something that disturbs the shit out of me is people who want to acknowledge that the personal is political for EVERYTHING but romance.
Some of the same "woke" people who want to talk about how race affects experiences in employment, housing, healthcare, education, the media, social life/friendships, hobbies, etc. all of a sudden feel inclined to throw that level of clarity out the window the moment the subject matter is romance. At that point, then they want to just individualize something that they should know exists within a larger system. At that point, it's just about "individual character" and "personal preference."
By the way, personal "preference" does not exist in a vacuum. When a Black man says, "I prefer white women because they're calm, feminine, and have good hair!", that is not some innocuous "preference." That is white supremacy being internalized.
Race is real. It's real via reification of a system predicated on pseudoscience, yes, but it is still real. That does not change just because a Black person and a white person fall for each other.
I truly believe that many people in interracial relationships are not properly equipped for all the extra labor it will entail, and me? I will pass on taking on that additional labor.
