He's gonna drop a nuke to distract from the Epstein files. He wants nothing more than to be remembered and he doesn't give a fuck how.

How the fuck is that not war?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 18 hours ago

We have always been [at war|not at war] with Iran.

You get to open Schrodinger's box at any given time when engaged with PEDOnald and the redcaps.

[–] toomanypancakes@piefed.world 2 points 22 hours ago

If it's not from the War region of France it's only sparkling violence.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It doesn't have the war label on it

[–] deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz 2 points 23 hours ago

It won't come from the War region, this is just operation traditional

[–] EisFrei@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Who is the person that can unconditional surrender for Iran ? Who is Trump writing to here ?

Teachers of dead school children ? The dead leaders ? The dead Americans ?

Are we Americans supposed to surrender Iran to Trump ?

[–] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

Yes, I American am declaring to Donald J Trump that Iran has officially unconditionally surrendered. He should immediately fly to Tehran and hand pick the next leader. Thank you for your attention in this matter. God Bless MAGAts.

[–] RaoulDook@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

What could go wrong with such a brilliant strategy built upon an ultimatum, when we have a basic bunch of drunk podcasters in command of the military. The levels of Dumb and Wrong are way off the charts now

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 18 hours ago

Wait, I thought this was not a war?

[–] Switorik@lemmy.zip 12 points 1 day ago (6 children)

Nothing good is going to come from this.

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 1 day ago (2 children)

This statement could apply to every second of every minute of every hour of every day of both Trump presidencies.

First as tragedy, then as farce.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

The only tiny thing I support Trump on is getting rid of pennies, and he half-assed that

[–] pennomi@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Untrue, stopping production of the penny was one thing he did right. Might have been accidental lol.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

But he even half-assed that. He stopped the production of new pennies but they're still in use and not being destroyed. In Canada, we made a law that, starting on a certain date, prices were rounded to the nearest five for cash transactions. Pennies were still accepted currency but gradually sent back to the mint to be destroyed and, after a while, they stopped being used at all.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Yep, even the most basic of things that should be a slam dunk are things he completely bungles.

He should have easily been able to unify the nation in dealing with a pandemic. But, nope. He so totally fucked that up. And same with the penny thing - we have plenty of examples, like Canada, where we could have learned about the rollout.

Instead, it's announced via his LieSocial site or whatever the fuck. With no phase out and no plan and no direction given.

He's just a complete asshole and has no idea what he is doing. He just wants his name and his dumb mug on things and that's about it. Oh and shiny medals being given to him.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 1 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

You'd think he would have thought to make money off the pandemic by selling MAGA masks

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

He really is quite stupid. Watching him first steer into the "but muh economy!" thing nearly at the outset, to initially being hopeful it was going to kill off more black people than white people, to having Jared withhold life-saving supplies and equipment from entire states not deemed loyal enough to Donvict, to stoking stupid conspiracy theories and nostrums like horse dewormer, while also wanting all the credit for the vaccine (which we really had Obama to thank), and so on...

Again, almost any normal human being without a broken brain and who had the barest modicum of empathy, or the ability to at least fake that empathy, could have done better at it.

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say there's literally hundreds of way more important issues that need to be addressed in the US than the waste of printing pennies. Like, it's such a drop in the bucket compared to underfunded healthcare, rampant homelessness, mental health crises, broken education system, rising pollution, bomb trains, aging and failing infrastructure, bridges about to collapse, water treatment plants failing, a patchwork power grid that was built for the 19th century, dams about to collapse, resurgence of major diseases due to anti-vaccine hysteria, intense levels of propaganda via unregulated social media...

Anyway, I could keep going, so seriously, you're joking right? The waste produced from pennies is literally a drop of water in an ocean of fucking problems that are way more massive , way more impactful, and overall just way more important. If stopping minting pennies meant we could fund Medicare For All for the next fifty years I might give a shit, but it didn't and even with a better congress, supreme court, and President it still wouldn't have saved enough money to fund anything significant.

So I genuinely don't give one flying fuck about stopping minting pennies or if they had kept minting them. It makes no material difference in my daily fucking life whereas ICE being the world's third most well funded military means jackbooted fucking thugs are roaming my streets looking to black bag my neighbors. I just can't, the idea that the penny thing can be counted as "a good thing" in the face of the tsunami of bad shit is a joke.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

Well said, all of this, even if it was a joke. Way too many reactionary centrists in my life try to pull the "but what about the dyes in food, tho?" and a few have noted the penny thing was something worthwhile, even though he screwed the pooch on rolling that out, if you can even call it a rollout.

Because they literally have nothing else, I guess? Even the reactionary centrists seem to realize that kidnapping people and giving them the extreme rendition treatment is a bad look.

On the dye thing - first of all, it was easy and free for me to avoid dyes if I so wished. Secondly, I have not seen anything actually happen on that front. And seriously, even if that was something I was wishing on a star to have happen, the tradeoff is....what? Threatening every single one of our allies, attacking Venezuela, Iran and attacking our own cities? Ripping way healthcare from millions? Firing untold numbers of government workers? Even more handouts to the already ridiculously rich?

[–] pennomi@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago

Yes obviously that was a joke.

[–] rigatti@lemmy.world 1 points 18 hours ago

Unless you're an arms manufacturer! You gotta find the bright side.

[–] rafoix@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago (3 children)

We’re in the “find out” part of the “fuck around”.

America is run by a pedophile death cult that is controlled by a genocidal death cult. There’s a lot of overlap between those groups.

Just like Putin he wants to expand. Doesn’t matter who or how. Venezuela, Canada, Cuba, Greenland, Iran. He just wants to be remembered as the person who expanded the US. And the scary thing is, he has resources to do it, but luckily not the competence.

More annoying is the lack of pushback.

[–] IchNichtenLichten@lemmy.wtf 4 points 22 hours ago

In other words, the pedo started a war with no end goal and he now wants the people he's bombing to hand him a win.

[–] gibmiser@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

Add nation building to the budget. Im sure there are some gov contractors just itching to do next to nothing and get paid millions for it.

Thank goodness we dodged that Kamala bullet. It would have been just as bad.

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Have any of you seen this guys videos on game theory? He's been discussing why Usrael is destined to fail this fight. And explains things in a way most people (like myself with limited knowledge on the topic) can understand.

Has a few million views already. It's worth watching.

I was interested until I finished his last video. Between his complete dismissal of the kurds as nothing but "hustlers" looking to rob the US for what it's worth and then him ending the video with "oh btw this is a war for global control of human consciousness." I was like... Yeah... No...

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 0 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

What videos are you referring to ?

I don't recall any of that in this video I linked.

Americans would rather die than commit to this and not get any of our black liquid crack fix out of it.

You know what unconditional surrender will mean.

Surrender... And then what? What's the actual plan here?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 18 hours ago

Well, we aren't talking about the Donvict-Epstein files as much right now, are we?

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

A casino and condos!

[–] Asafum@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

We tried to tell everyone that Trump is a terrible business man, he can't even understand the order of numbers.

America FIRST?

I guess MAGA and Trump were meant for each other, neither seem to understand that first would imply that it comes before others.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

PEDOnald meant himself first, everyone else...can get bent.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago
