This man is 58 years old. He remembers what he got on the SAT he took literally 40 years ago?

And he's also (proudly?) proclaiming that he can't read while sitting next to a pile of books with his name on the cover, books that he ostensibly wrote.

I don't even understand the angle of these lies.

Gavin Newsom is a nepo baby (literally Nancy Pelosi's nephew), and American voters hate nepo-babies. So Gavin has used focus group triangulation to decide that talking about his bad grades in school is a good way to humanize himself. Newsom unironically thinks that telling the American people he can't read will make them think "Wow, he's just like me!"

Newsom is literally just Trump but 10% less racist and more conventionally handsome. But when he tries to do the whole "I'm just a regular guy" thing like Trump, it just doesn't work, because of how condescending Newsom is. Trump loves McDonalds, Newsom shops at Erewhon.

He needs to demonstrate sufficient levels of dementia in order to serve as president

Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids

same-picture

Almost there

The fact Biden effectively got away with that is the most insanity-inducing thing.

He got away with calling a woman a lying dog faced pony soldier

[–] DogThatWentGorp@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

Yeah huh he got away with a lot in general now that I think about it. You think with how loyal Bernie is to the party they just would've let him run as a screen and then shoot him in the knees once he was in office somehow.

Quarterly strategy mindset IG.

"What is up, my home boys? It's me, relatable guy Gavin Newsom, who is just like you. I'm stupid, and I can't read, and I smoke the marijuana cigarettes, just like you people!"

Trump would dogwalk this clown.

It really is amazing how Dems are incapable of acting like normal human beings. That had the cadence of an alien wearing a human fleshsuit for the first time attempting to pass itself off as an awkward out of touch politician because acting normal was too far out of reach. what-the-hell

Somehow this motherfucker has surpassed even Panetta as CA's most cartoonishly demonic politician in my lifetime. With I guess the exclusion of Reagan but that's a fucking high bar to clear in terms of evil shit.

is 960 bad, i've never taken the sat

[–] TheVelvetGentleman@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago

It's a little below average. But still embarrassing for a politician considering the advantages he had.

[–] yellowfattybean@hexbear.net 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

1000 is average. The SAT consists of 2 tests, 800 points each, verbal & math. 1600 is perfect. 960 is not-good

[–] KuroXppi@hexbear.net 4 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

1000 is average

Is it bell curved so that the median score is 1000, or is that the mean? Or is average here meaning 'yeah it's an okay score'?

(Not from USA so not familiar with SATs, but they're referenced v often so curious to know)

[–] OttoboyEmpire@hexbear.net 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

median. it's more or less normed to 1000. https://research.collegeboard.org/reports/sat-suite/understanding-scores/sat

it's not a good score. worse than the average admit score for the worst US public universities. https://www.collegesimply.com/colleges/rank/public-colleges/highest-sat-scores/?page=11

IQ guys are going to go crazy about this

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

It's like they saw how much people talked about "poor kids are just as good as white kids" and decided to recreate it.
