Ugliest ladybug I've ever seen.

[–] DrunkAnRoot@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago

Why'd you have to make it a race thing?

[–] DigDoug@lemmy.world 58 points 3 days ago (2 children)

"I'm sorry, is this a 5-minute argument or the full half-hour?"

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

They ain't paying me for a half hour.

[–] bobs_monkey@lemmy.zip 8 points 3 days ago

An hour it is.

[–] noxypaws@pawb.social 2 points 2 days ago

"an argument isn't just contradictions!"

"can be!"

[–] ghost_rider69@thelemmy.club 1 points 1 day ago

Nah man I'm pretty sure that's ammo of Remington 870

Is that anti-technological progress I sense in your tone?

Typical clankerist.

[–] elephantium@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

As proud clankerists, we can all agree that technological progress has gone too far! And we'll get right on that as soon as we vanquish the real threat -- the clankerites, those splitters!

[–] ADandHD@lemmy.sdf.org 25 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Um, acktually. (pushes glasses up) This would only serve to to demonstrate that people may sometimes argue about this one thing. To demonstrate that people will argue about anything, you would need to show that an argument occurs for everything, which you do not demonstrate here.

[–] Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] m4xie@lemmy.ca 8 points 3 days ago

That's not an argument, that's just simple contradiction!

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 37 points 3 days ago (1 children)

No, people won't argue about just anything.

Oooh, thanks for reminding me that exists!

[–] capt_wolf@lemmy.world 32 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Had to tape it down to make sure it didn't fly away.

For my money, this is the cleverest resonse.

[–] mercano@lemmy.world 23 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Did you just assume that bug’s gender?

[–] carrotfox@piefed.social 17 points 3 days ago

Theythembug*

[–] ThermonuclearCactus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

That's an Asian Lady Beetle actually, not a ladybug. They're an invasive species that was intentionally introduced in an attempt to control aphids and can sometimes but not always be differentiated from ladybugs by the color of their elytron (hard coating which protects their wings), which can be orange rather then red.

[–] Saprophyte@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Can confirm, have them all over our house in the fall. They poop out brown sticky stuff when they're afraid that smells bad, so you have to be super careful getting rid of them.

[–] jdr@lemmy.ml 22 points 3 days ago (5 children)

It's pronounced "ladybird".

Delete this now. You have overhead imagery of a hangar for the Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider. This is highly classified information and the mods need to delete this and wipe the server now.

It's cool, they can redact it by putting the image of a bandaid on top!

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I have a boo boo! Where are my ladybugs?

[–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Correct answer. Please move on to the next test.

[–] Zier@fedia.io 7 points 3 days ago

Did you know that the "Bandaid Ladybug" is one of the most healing in the world?

[–] stiffyGlitch@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

that's a cool ladybug

[–] brokenwing@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 3 days ago

Yes it is. And a beautiful one too.

[–] etchinghillside@reddthat.com 7 points 3 days ago

May the papercuts between your fingers forever go without ladybugs.

[–] hperrin@lemmy.ca 6 points 3 days ago

What a marvelous testament to nature that this creature evolved to specifically mimic the adhesive medical strip so perfectly that I can’t even tell the difference.

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Wound strip.

[–] tkk13909@sopuli.xyz 5 points 3 days ago

I think you covered the ladybug there

Not everything that bugs a lady is a ladybug

[–] bizarroland@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

I hope they get better soon, meeting a band-aid that big.

[–] MidsizedSedan@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

What do the lady bugs look like in your country?
