Next, republicans argue about the definition of “shot”

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 8 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

There probably will never be justice for her so there needs to be an effort to plaster “Jonathan Ross murdered Renee Good” everywhere.

He should never have a moment where he isn’t faced with that reality.

Yup. Creative thinking as well.

[–] Nomorereddit@lemmy.today 10 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 55 minutes ago) (1 children)

I thought she had a hole in her head before this happened.

Edit: because she made a stupid decision to put people and dog lives at risk.

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 9 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Definitely. Was probably addicted to fentanyl too, and that's the real cause of death.

-Actual people in our government probably

[–] callouscomic@lemmy.zip 3 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Mostly politicians and political appointees. Most actual government employees are just regular folk trying to pay bills and do a public service while keeping heads down so as to not draw attention from the shit-eating pieces of garbage that we morons keep electing. Especially the Federal civilians over the last year.

[–] Freefall@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

That's not their job. Represent the people or GTFO. Hiding and keeping the machinery running smooth for the people missing it isn't "a public service".

[–] Nomorereddit@lemmy.today 1 points 1 hour ago

Nah, their job ia follow the rules not follow mob justice. There's plenty of countries where you have to bribe an official to interact with them.

You dont want what you think you do, robespierre.

[–] boydster@sh.itjust.works 120 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

Jonathan Ross murdered Renee Good when he shot her shot through her head from outside her driver's side window.

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 9 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Is this the murderer Jonathan Ross of Minnesota you are talking about?
Or are you on about that murderer Jonathan Ross from Minnesota?

[–] boydster@sh.itjust.works 9 points 9 hours ago

I was talking about Jonathan Ross the Minneapolis ICE murderer who shot Renee Good through her temple, called her a "fucking bitch" immediately after murdering her, and then walked away in cold blood.

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 16 points 11 hours ago

Metaphorically, yes. But the true murder occurred during the 8 minutes of ICE preventing medical assistance after shooting Good.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 96 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

She was also alive for like ~8 minutes while ICE obstructed medical care...

The shooting wasn't justified, but even if it was, the obstruction of care is criminal.

[–] TWeaK@lemmy.today 6 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago)

There was literally a doctor on scene at the time of her assassination, but ICE prevented him from seeing to her and thereby ensured they got the kill.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 10 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

The question is: will local authorities seek to prosecute the scum responsible?

[–] brooke592@sh.itjust.works 4 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Unfortunately, probably not.

DAs only take cases they have a good chance of winning. Since it takes only 1 juror to get in the way of a guilty verdict, there's not much chance this murderer will ever see justice from the legal system.

[–] UltraGiGaGigantic@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 hours ago

Murder is legal?

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 28 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago) (2 children)

Yeah, I saw the video and could have told everyone this. I mean, I get why they have to do it, but I hate that I now live in the world where this is at all questioned.

The only reason there's any contention about it broadly is because MAGA has brainwashed themselves to "not look up" and not even view the video for fear they will actually see the comet approaching.

Go post the shooting on conservative sites without editorial and see how fast you get banned. (No, really do this, you all should have burner accounts on right-wing social media platforms, do something fucking useful with your keyboard time.)

[–] kikutwo@lemmy.world 37 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

You and the headline missed that she was shot in the left side of the head and went out the right side. Could only have come from the side of the vehicle where the shooter couldn't have been in any danger.

[–] EbAbDbGbBbEb@programming.dev 18 points 12 hours ago

Exactly. The article doesn't say the first two shots were from the front, but they weren't necessarily life-threatening even if they were. The final shot came when the shooter was out of the way and no longer had any reason to fear for his life and, therefore, had no reason to fire a third time.

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 3 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

You and the headline missed

I don't think there's any contention here, I saw her get shot, I know a bullet from a particular "agent" went into her head.

[–] kikutwo@lemmy.world 10 points 12 hours ago

The idiot who was "in danger" went from shooting through the windshield to shooting through the side window

It’s not questioned it’s stating fact which is always done with a cause of death.

[–] atzanteol@sh.itjust.works 48 points 15 hours ago

A third shot entered the left side of Good’s head near the temple and exited on the right side,

Goddamnit... I'm surprised her partner wasn't hit as well. This fascist needs to swing.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 31 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

If the midterms have even a HINT of those MAGAts stealing it we need to react immediately and decisively.

They're going to do everything they can to make sure it never gets to that point. By starting a civil war or an external war to postpone the elections.

Just wait and see. It's going to be a shit show, and not for them.

[–] Scubus@sh.itjust.works 16 points 15 hours ago (4 children)

commisioned by her family

I genuinely cannot wait for the civil war to pop off. This country needs to be cleansed by fire

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 16 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

"I am quite certain that the crimes of this guilty land will never be purged away but with blood. I had, as I now think vainly, flattered myself that without very much bloodshed it might be done."

Perfectly normal reaction to slavery.

[–] SuiXi3D@fedia.io 6 points 14 hours ago

Seriously. It will be bloody, a lot of folks (probably you and I) will die, but the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi. Things won’t be fixed until there are no more Nazis.

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 2 points 14 hours ago (5 children)

Is that what you think a civil war would do? What would this war look like to you?

[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 1 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago)

I mean I'd probably die, and good riddance, but hopefully the rest of the world would be saved from the US.

[–] Scubus@sh.itjust.works 19 points 14 hours ago

Well its been well established the rational people and MAGA simply cant coexist, so I would imagine the war is going to look pretty terrible for everyone. But if we dont pull this tumor out its will only bed itself deeper into our society. Half of the US has already demonstrated that they will violently destroy any attempt at progress and salt the Earth so those options are lost forever. Yeah, id say the war is going to suck.

But either we win and we actually get to start making progress, or we lose and the world actually becomes idiocracy now that those who care and those who have central nervous systems have been killed. Either the world finally stops being mustashe twirlingly comically evil, or me and mine are no longer in this world.

Its so fucking frustrating that democrats and centrists insist on propogating a broken system of civility politics. The law exists for a damn reason, when people break it they deserve whatever punishment society has deemed them of. And yet when we have clearly guilty individuals the "good guys" dont want to rock the boat. Fucking do ANYTHING other than let them continue ffs

[–] mycodesucks@lemmy.world 11 points 13 hours ago

It sure won't be pretty. But peace without justice is not peace - it's stagnation, and any society that accepts that is already dead.

It's like stopping a fever... Sure, it looks fine at first... But the virus is running rampant and it WILL kill the patient. You have to let the fever go, and hope the patient outlasts the infection.

[–] MBech@feddit.dk 7 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I think everyone knows what civil war looks like, but some people are okay sacrificing everything for a proper society where armed government goons can't just shoot you in the face at will.

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 2 points 7 hours ago

As someone with autism, my fate is sealed if RFK has his way. I fight, because the alternative is enslavement and horrific death. That, and I want to actually enjoy the latter half of my life without the shadow of fascism.

Killing a bunch of chubby fucking incels to save our home.

[–] ruuster13@lemmy.zip 0 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Fuck this opinion. Put yourself on the front line.

[–] Scubus@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 hours ago

Thats the plan. Im not doing anything while the democrat instituition is going to conspire with war criminals against me though. Dont feel like having enemies all around, even amongst the dumbasses im trying to protect.

[–] ceiphas@piefed.social -5 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

No shit, Sherlock, the whole world saw it on video...

[–] Chainweasel@lemmy.world 37 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

I think the official report said that she was shot twice in the chest and once in the arm though.

[–] IrateAnteater@sh.itjust.works 35 points 15 hours ago

Lying on official reports? Surely that's some sort of felony that will be duely punished, right?

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 24 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Ahh, the gunshot wound in the head must've been a pre-existing condition. I don't remember noticing it in the video though.

[–] Bhaelfur@lemmy.world 8 points 14 hours ago

Preexisting and self inflicted! The video started juuuust after the self inflicted head shot. Trust me, bro, my dad works for ICE/CIA/FBI/Teletubbies.
