I think my new bit is gonna be posting relevant online gambling

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 32 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Sigh. I never thought American fascism would include online betting on everything but it makes perfect sense.

[–] QinShiHuangsShlong@hexbear.net 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Financialisation of even life itself was always the end goal of the capitalist machine.

[–] miz@hexbear.net 15 points 1 day ago

Now your dreams will never again be so peaceful. You will see capital in your nights, like a nightmare, that presses you and threatens to crush you. With terrified eyes you will see it get fatter, like a monster with one hundred proboscises that feverishly search the pores of your body to suck your blood. And finally you will learn to assume its boundless and gigantic proportions, its appearance dark and terrible, with eyes and mouth of fire, morphing its suckers into enormous hopeful trumpets, within which you’ll see thousands of human beings disappear: men, women, children. Down your face will trickle the sweat of death, because your time, and that of your wife and your children will soon arrive. And your final moan will be drowned out by the happy sneering of the monster, glad with your state, so much richer, so much more inhumane.

Calling it now, someone's gonna place a big bet on nuclear war starting and then push the big red button

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 17 points 1 day ago

Dr. Strangelove 2026 (2026)

Tagline: Push the big red button.

I wish more people understood that the root of Andrew Wakefield’s bullshit was a desire to undermine competitors.

It was capitalist line-go-up fuckery that got us in this mess. And maybe if we had some actual democratic oversight of these pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers and had some fucking socialism we would have nipped this shit in the bud.

But no, this whole thing, in a pure case of jokerfication , is because we didn’t have the vaccine of socialism to prevent it.

[–] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 23 points 1 day ago

Yeah and his bullshit was popularized by Jenny McCarthy and Dr. Oz via Oprah Winfrey's show.

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 24 points 1 day ago (2 children)

This might be the greatest own goal in American history.

Willingly and enthusiastically bringing back a life altering disease that was easily suppressed because "fuck you, fancy doctor boy, don't tell me what to do"

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 8 points 1 day ago

Americans somehow synthesized anarcho-fascism. Like one of the biggest flexes in this fascist hellscape is if The Hierarchy^TM^ still lets you be a decadent hedonist.

RATM = Rage AT Myself

---

I just couldn't figure out how to get RATM to work with "myself" at the end. Rage Against the Medcine lacks panache.

Edit

Never mind my first edit or my first attempt. AnarchoAnarchist lead me to the Promised Land.

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 2 points 1 day ago

It was right there! I'll make an edit.

[–] miz@hexbear.net 2 points 1 day ago

Rage Against The Vaccine was right there

[–] JoeByeThen@hexbear.net 46 points 1 day ago

Reminder that any vaccines you have require a working immune system in order to do their job. If you keep getting Covid over and over again you likely do not have a fully functioning immune system.

Mask up!

[–] miz@hexbear.net 40 points 1 day ago

look at this motherfucking chauvinist garbage

What they're saying: On Tuesday, Ralph Abraham, a top CDC official, told reporters that the end of the measles elimination status in the U.S. would be "just the cost of doing business, with our borders being somewhat porous [and] global and international travel," Stat reported.

"we haven't sealed ourselves off from the filthy mud people entirely, so of course this will happen! it's definitely not because of domestic health policy being a complete dumpster fire"

Chuds really do look at 40k and go "yeah I'd love to live in that world also I want to worship the chaos gods"

I'm guessing they think suffering a little bit is worth hurting marginalized minorities they hate who will suffer even worse, as long as the hierarchy is maintained. they still think whiteness will pay enough imperial dividends that the leopard won't eat their face. too bad imperial dividends are declining and all spoken for

GIVE ME AND MY FAMILY MEASLES DADDY TRUMP. I DONT KNOW WHAT ENCEPHALITIS IS AND I DONT CARE. IF LITTLE DAKOTA GETS THE HEAD SICKNESS AND THE HORSE PASTE DONT CURE IT AND SHE DIES - ITS PART OF JESUS'S ULTIMATE PLAN.

[–] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 20 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I think this is supposed to be overstated but I always remember Armin Laschet, possible chancellor candidate in germany two elections back. He lost that one because he was seen smiling at the Ahrtal Disaster where their whole shit got flooded and not really for any other reasons.

Anyways in his biography he says, mediated, "The belief in God is central to my understanding of the world [...]}, if you belief, that there is life after death, you do politics differently than for example a communist, who will try to erect paradise on earth until his death".

This is the most milquetoast centrist agreeable to all candidate the nigh-one-party-rule christian democrats in germany could muster and he thinks that. One shudders to imagine what kind of death cult true radicals are.

if you belief, that there is life after death, you do politics differently than for example a communist, who will try to erect paradise on earth until his death

damn can you imagine trying to improve people's lives before they actually die? sheesh!

MONSTER TRUCK VOICE: "This June-June-June and July-July-July... C'mon, World - come to the US for the World Cup and the Olympics. You might get the measles or some other kinda pox. Or might get real lucky and Our Friendly Gestapo might detain you and your spouse for a few months or longer in a filthy, disgusting warehouse with 1,000s of people, five mostly busted toilets, and no heating or cooling system. Not fit for a dog! Meanwhile - ICE'll take good care - real good care - of your young ones in a separate facility in another state. Who knows what'll be happening to them. Something unspeakable prob'ly! So remember - this June-June-June and July-July-July..."

[–] dom@hexbear.net 13 points 1 day ago (3 children)

What's the materialist interpretation of why the US is making measles cases increase?

[–] hotspur@hexbear.net 19 points 1 day ago

Not sure if I know how to properly analyze in this vein, but I’d say that manipulating people into avoiding public health, higher disease spread, etc can support a general push to dismantle institutions, sell drugs and healthcare equip, and generally keep the unwashed masses at odds with each other and scared/sick while the grifter elite raid the henhouse and build up better walls and security.

It’s fairly clear that the elites somewhat see the writing on the wall, and that their choice has been not to retreat/reduce their footprint, but to aggressively pursue rentier extremism / ecofascism / eugenics option.

[–] segfault11@hexbear.net 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

amerikkkolonizers are smelly, gross hogs (derogatory)

[–] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The one I've seen put forth a lot is eugenics. They know vaccines are safe and get it for themselves. They don't care if suburbanites spread antivax shit because the suburbanites are not part of the bourgeois. They especially want it to kill children, the elderly, and the disabled because those groups don't work. They also know diseases disproportionately affect poor and minority communities, so even better if they get killed by measles or smallpox.

Of course, you get members of the 1% who drink their own supply, resulting in people like Herman Caine and Marcus Lamb dying from preventable illnesses.

Personally, I'm not smart enough to give an answer I haven't heard from someone else. I think the eugenics angle may be flawed due to reactionaries understanding there's no way to control who dies.

[–] Self_Sealing_Stem_Bolt@hexbear.net 12 points 1 day ago (2 children)

They especially want it to kill children

They literally view children as "the next generation of workers" so unless they actually believe ai butlers are on the horizon (theyre not) they are sowing their own destruction when they have no one left to exploit.

[–] SupFBI@hexbear.net 13 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

There will be plenty of climate change refugees to exploit. People whom the ruling class don't have to provide healthcare, food, or education for. That is some other nation's/society's expense.

[–] Self_Sealing_Stem_Bolt@hexbear.net 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yeah, but they're all gonna get sick and disabled and die cause of the lack of healthcare and vaccines. They're gonna run out of us eventually. We dont replace humans fast enough to outpace the horrors anymore. It makes no sense to destroy public health when you rely on exploiting the public for profit. Sick workers arent productive.

[–] huf@hexbear.net 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

It makes no sense to destroy the biosphere either, we need it to live. Yet here we are

the autonomous killbots at the border will monitor wage data and allow enough migrants in to keep labor costs from rising
