Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Next months story will be about ice officers in minn pulling guns on off duty ice officers who were brought in from the south and who just have a dark tan. That will be a real hoot.

I'm curious:

If a cop shoots an "ICE Agent" because he "feared for his life", who is the FoP gonna support?

🤔

[–] FarmTaco@lemmy.world 46 points 2 days ago

they have a color scale for that

[–] Assassassin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 195 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Man, I sure am conflicted. On the one hand, ICE is rapidly becoming brown shirts. On the other hand, the irony of cops being upset about having guns pulled on them because of their race is pretty funny.

[–] RaoulDuke85@piefed.social 77 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Just wait until ICE starts turning on the POC within.

[–] Kalothar@lemmy.ca 31 points 3 days ago (1 children)

That’s like way later though

[–] RaoulDuke85@piefed.social 28 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Idk seems like they are expediting everything because they know Trump doesn't have long.

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 9 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

It is odd how young Hitler was compared to Trump

But, you know, Stalin was a successor. Trump will have one too.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 days ago

Vance will be our Stalin

[–] USSMojave@startrek.website 8 points 3 days ago

They also need to cram in as much BS as possible before the midterms

[–] GreenBeanMachine@lemmy.world 20 points 2 days ago

Bruley said he opposed abolishing ICE but

Okay, fuck your butt.... You deserve it.

[–] leftzero@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 2 days ago

It's a pig-eat-pig world...

[–] lolola@lemmy.blahaj.zone 124 points 3 days ago (1 children)

At a press conference on Tuesday, Bruley said he opposed abolishing ICE but disagreed with how federal officers were carrying out immigration enforcement.

Dumbass

[–] Honse@lemmy.dbzer0.com 55 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Yep, "I love Nazis but don't like them when the do Nazi behavior". Actual dumbass when he's the one being effected and still does t recognize it. They really don't select the best and brightest, do they.

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 16 points 3 days ago

He fully understands it, it's just the us vs them mentality that cops have. He just doesn't want the facade to crack because he knows he'll be in deep shit if they say the quiet part out loud.

I’m shocked that Chief Piggy doesn't want to shut down the gestapo. He’s just sad that they’re picking on his fellow pigs.

ACAB

[–] KittyCat@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

They're outnumbered 5:1 atm, that's probably why

[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 11 points 2 days ago

Well, well, well. How the turntables...

[–] Greddan@feddit.org 64 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Fucking pussies. These are masked, heavily armed terrorists. Any police worth a damn should be shooting them on sight.

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 8 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Police are not juries. Alleged terrorists deserve trials.

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 15 points 2 days ago

Ice is doing plenty enough to be arrested by local law enforcement

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 days ago

So does everybody. Cops have guns for armed threats.

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

So, if you really are there illegally, would it be better to claim you're a police office and have a fake badge, and see if that's enough to get them to walk away?

You'd be gambling that it was a random stop and not a properly targetted one, which seems like the odds are in your favor?

You'd be impersonating a cop, which itself is a crime, but if they're going to throw you out of the country anyway how much worse is that? Would they really imprison you vs throw you out if thats as far as you went?

[–] NikkiDimes@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

I don't know how it works these days, but historically you would be charged with a crime, sentenced to prison time, and ICE would be contacted to deport you after you served said time.

That's when shit actually made sense, however, who the fuck knows now.

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Ah gotcha.

Also fair about how shit doesn't make sense now, and if they'd even follow that lol.

[–] Someonelol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 36 points 2 days ago

Fascists eventually end up turning on their own. Let the serpent eat its own tail.

[–] YurkshireLad@lemmy.ca 42 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I'm surprised ICE thugs haven't started pulling guns and kidnapping each other.

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 28 points 3 days ago

The 'good' Latinos among ICE will be the last to be headhunted for a bounty. They will be no different from the workers at a Mexican restaurant.

[–] tonytins@pawb.social 47 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Losing the support from the local police certainly isn't one of their brightest moves.

[–] bookmeat@lemmynsfw.com 28 points 3 days ago

No, see, if they harass the coloured cops, the remaining white supremacists will rejoice.

[–] WoodScientist@lemmy.world 37 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Hopefully the pigs will just kill each other.

[–] FolksVelo@mas.to 25 points 3 days ago (1 children)

@Redditsux in case there was any remaining doubt that ICE is racist

[–] spongebue@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

What exactly is the point of tagging OP in your comments?

[–] 4am@lemmy.zip 14 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Possibly a Mastodon user. Federation works across platforms, too

[–] spongebue@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Ohhhh, I forgot about that!

[–] happydoors@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

This is a public push for a look of authority. This also surely pumps up the rest of them. The headlines feed them like little serial killers. It’s getting scary.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 12 points 3 days ago

Is the FOP still going to release statements in support of ICE?

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Time for police to fight back

[–] tehsillz@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Thats exactly what they want!! Better not do anything and let these racists do whatever they want /s

[–] vivalapivo@lemmy.today 12 points 3 days ago

No surprises here

Fucking LOL!

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

This has occurred numerous times. Another story, a San Bernardino deputysheriff, Travis Shitstain Holbrook, detained an African American Navy Seal, Lt, Cmdr Darius Mitchell, in his Class A uniform. WTF, I'm surprised the Seal did not tie the racist fuck into a pretzel.
