He's a differently colored snake, I guess I haven't said this enough to the Lemmings

[–] Furbag@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

This guy cannot leave office fast enough. Keep him away from any potential DNC primaries.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

Despite his Very Funny social medias posting, this man is a Shill for the Rich. Thank you for Attention to this matter.

[–] RubberElectrons@lemmy.world 8 points 21 hours ago

Here's to everyone signing for this, and the folks out there getting the signatures!!

[–] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

of course he is.

No matter what he says, he is ultimately, at the end of the day, a puppet for the rich, and he will manipulate the laws as he sees fit for their benefit.

No surprises there. This is always who he was. Just because he mocked the right wing in their own style people seemed to think he was different than the larger neo-lib whole.

What a piece of shit

Dude is the worst.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago

He's not as bad as MAGA, but that doesn't make him good.

And this is why people shouldn't support Newsom, he is a moderate.

[–] BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

There is nothing moderate about that rightist scum.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He's not a moderate, he's a standard establishment Democrat loser, the kind that got us here. He's the same as Schmuck & Jeffries.

That would be a DINO/ MAGA Lite.

[–] RiotingPacifist@lemmy.ml 1 points 4 hours ago

Yeah I don't see the point of MAGA-lite it's been tried all over Europe and never works, people want full MAGA over diet MAGA.

The only countries kind of holding their shit together are those where a center-left party has been dragged left by being in coalition with a left wing party (Spain, Portugal, etc)

His owners pulled his strings

[–] surewhynotlem@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

You don't support politicians in America. This is a first past the post system. You just begrudgingly vote against the worst one and work like mad to get ranked choice.

[–] GhostPain@lemmy.world 52 points 2 days ago

He's a "moderate" Capitalist lackey asshole.

You don’t support him because he is a moderate.

I fucking hate him because he personally destroyed the possessions of the poorest of his constituents

[–] nublug@piefed.blahaj.zone 14 points 2 days ago

he's a fuckin nazi who pays lip service and does pr stunts to seem moderate. see also: uk's starmer.

they're cryptofascists.

[–] hesh@quokk.au 69 points 2 days ago (3 children)

He says he's scared the billionaires will leave California. Just like they didn't leave NYC when Mamdani was elected.

[–] BreadstickNinja@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

And like they didn't leave Massachusetts after its millionaire tax was imposed.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 1 day ago

Where are they going to go? They became billionaires in this economic system, and even if they have to pay more in taxes, they'll still be in the friendliest economic system on the planet.

If there were a better place, they'd already be there.

[–] silence7@slrpnk.net 62 points 2 days ago

What he is scared of is billionaires deciding to not fund his presidential campaign

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 49 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Don't down vote because Newsom is a POS, upvote it so people can see him being a POS

[–] hornedfiend@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 day ago

Ah, the eternal struggle...

[–] Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I have a feeling this is going to turn out like the rent control referendum, all the political and media establishment is lining up to save the property values of there rich overlords.

[–] RiotingPacifist@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 day ago

I don't get why homeowners want high property values, sure your home is worth more, but to access that wealth you got to be homeless.

Seems like a bad deal

[–] supersquirrel@sopuli.xyz 14 points 2 days ago

What a trash politician.

[–] GhostPain@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago

Of course he is because puppets gonna dance.

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

If he successfully stops this but the fallout prevents him from being the 2028 president nominee, sorry California but it's worth it.

[–] tino_408@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago (3 children)

And this is the leading candidate for 2028 😳

[–] RiotingPacifist@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 day ago

Honestly think this might help libs in the rest of the country realize how much of a peice of shit he is.

Maybe it's just my bubble but I think the abundbros are cooked in 28, even Warren is gunning for them.

[–] Branch_Ranch@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yea, no thanks. A lot can happen in the next couple of years though. Maybe it'll be weird Al vs Laura loomer. 🤷🏼

[–] tino_408@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

No thanks 🙂‍↔️lol

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

He's sure as shit not my leading candidate

[–] circuitfarmer@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 2 days ago

You aren't going to get any real change out of a career politician. Ever.

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Never change, Dems.
