To see any of you idiots disrespecting their efforts is very rich, clearly you yourself would've been easily able to deal with hundreds of delta unit ghouls, you would've been able to know the exact moment they'd do a surprise attack and be ready then, you wouldalso predict the U.S. breaking international law and doing an irrational mission. Maduro should've hired you instead.

I read once that Venezuela spends less on their military annually than Hollywood does on a single movie. Really love the victory laps the most powerful military nation in the world is doing over their ability to bully smaller nations they themselves impoverished.

You are absolutely correct. Also, the vile AmeriKKKan ruling class did this to provoke the doomer response you are referring to (not just in Venezuela, but around the world). This drastic action has, so far, accomplished none of their goals. People should not allow the AmeriKKKans to convince them of their omnipotence - doomerism is anti-revolutionary!

Wha, who's gloating about this?? cat-confused

People have been dooming a bit about how the Venezuelan government must have sold Maduro out, how they failed, etc.

I mean it sucks they got him, but I have hope for their people that they will continue resisting imperialism it's literally just one dude and let's see if the usa is able to actually stick anything to him at trial.

Exactly, the AmeriKKKans have so far won nothing with this action.

Seriously, it's easy to get into the habit of thinking of the US military as just a bloated grift that can no longer function under the weight of it's own size and corruption but that doesn't change that it's still a machine of mass murder kept well oiled by the blood of the innocent

[–] LeninWeave@hexbear.net 16 points 3 months ago (1 children)

And yet, it has not accomplished any concrete goal so far in this instance. There are dual dangers here (not saying you're doing it, just that the danger exists) of falling into the traps of "the military is bloated and can do nothing" OR "the military is omnipotent and cannot be resisted".

Definitely, both underestimating and overestimating our enemies is bad for us

They may be stupid assholes but that doesn't mean they're gonna fuck everything up all the tune and the military industrial complex has more money than god but that doesn't mean they have rail guns or gundams

Yeah, if a dozen hopped up operators rappelled down into my house and starting shooting, i'd probably be dead or captured in a minute or so

I'm not Hercules
