No idea what you’re referring to. Can you provide an example?

I must not try to change the morons.

Changing the morons is the time-killer.

Changing the morons is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

I will face the stupidity of the morons.

I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Where the morons have gone there will be nothing.

Only I will remain.

This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

[–] SaraTonin@lemmy.world 5 points 21 hours ago

Never argue with an idiot. The best possible outcome is that you’ll win an argument against an idiot

When you wrestle with a pig, you both get muddy and the pig likes it

Mark Twain iirc

My pattern recognition is out of wack. I misread the subject as "Mormons" and wondered wtf was about to happen, like it was a manifesto of some sort.

Moment over. Back to normality.

Back to normality.

Woop there goes gravity.

When the crystals hippies started using Facebook.

instagram meme accounts were the first place i saw it.

[–] Rhoeri@piefed.world 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It happened when a bunch of assholes figured out that they can post their agenda/political opinion/propaganda over a random image and it’s instantly a meme capable of qualifying in any meme comm/sub.

It’s obnoxious.

[–] setsneedtofeed@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Same energy as the Lisa Simpson or Spider-Man presentation "memes".

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Nobody's making you click on it?

I don't exactly care for it either, but why spend time policing other people's behavior instead of curating your feed so you don't see it?

Or, just ignore it even if you see it. I don't know, but talk about first world problem.

[–] UnrefinedChihuahua@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah why do similar topics keep popping up. Block users/communities who post content you do not care for, shut up about having done it, win the Internet.

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 3 points 22 hours ago

But I need my social media feed to cater to meeeeeee, I shouldn't have to curate my feed to not have to see things that I don't like!!1!

[–] gladflag@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The butterfly lady account 👀

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 1 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

Yup. I asked them why this happens, which app is making these annoyingly large empty spaces around the content when sharing as an image.

... They said... "I like my images to be square."

🫩 Apparently they're doing it on purpose.

[–] lmmarsano@lemmynsfw.com 7 points 1 day ago

Not sure. It's annoying, breaks accessibility, & people need to learn what a goddamn link is.
