The worst part about this is that the black excellence crowd like her, her husband, and Oprah think capitalism is the answer to black poverty. While in reality, they've just excelled in the music and entertainment industry who's model of exploitation makes the Waltons look like labor activists.

Imagine I give you $100,000 today, tomorrow and every day thereafter. How long until you get tired of getting $100,000 each day?
After only a few days, most people's financial problems would be solved. After ten days, you will have received 1 million dollars. After a few months, you will have been able to purchase anything you've ever dreamed of.
How long, then, until money is meaningless to you?
Do you know how long it takes to have received 1 billion dollars?
27.4 years.
27.4 years of receiving $100,000 every day. A billion dollars is 10,000 $100,000s.
Some people have hundreds of billions of dollars. It is an astronomical number.
You can't imagine how much that amount of money changes a person. You will absolutely lose your mind and yourself.
No one should ever possess anywhere near that level of money. It's way too much power.
People conflate rich people with millionaires and casually lump billionaires in with that group.
They are not the same. Billionaires are shells of humans, filled with the putrid sludge of a soul completely consumed by greed.
Do not listen to them. Do not believe them. They only tell you things they want you to believe. They will take everything from you, including your life.
I guess we all have different interpretations of the word "musician".
Imagine having that much money. Then imagine how much good you could do with that in the world. And then be like: "nah".
That's the paradox. You literally can't earn that level of wealth in one lifetime, even as one of the most popular artists in the world. You have to underpay your people, overcharge your fans, avoid taxes that help real people, and have other means of preying on actual workers to reach the level of a billionaire ~~idol~~ parasite. And you have to do it the entire time knowing the cost to others...
I met her once and she was a total A Hole. I worked a stage for an exhibition 12 hours straight, she turned up 15 minutes late for her 10 minute performance and didn't interact with anyone. Clearly didn't want to be there but was happy to be paid while disrespecting everyone there.
And she earned every dollar of it fair and square, contrary to all those lazy ass musicians playing at your local cafe who can't afford health care.

Another one on the list. It just keeps growing. At least its a list of who were eating first.
This world is a fucking joke.
And the vast majority of real musicians/artists, which are so essential to a civilization btw, are poor as fuck
Fuck. She’s on the Menu, now. God dammit.
There are no good billionaires.
No good billionaires
100% agree, she can join the rest during the revolution.
Other 4: Her husband, Jay-Z, was the first musician to become a billionaire on Forbes’s list in 2019. Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift have also achieved the elite status.
Note earlier comment about Springsteen claiming overestimate.
They need to stop calling these people "elite."
The “ultimate parasite” status you mean
Fuck beyondce
