It’s slightly less work for us at the end of the day. Why worry about stopping Reform when they’re just going to end up imploding themselves due to how thick they are.

Competency for them isn't necessarily measured in ability to wield or hold on to power effectively. Their main goal is to inflict pain on whomever they see as lesser. Them being incompetent while managing to brutalize migrants and people of color still results in cruelty.

Because lots of people are liberals and don't like racism, even when they are racist.

They don't just hate people based on how they look like, they hate dangerous criminals, homeless people, people from poor countries etc. Which why there's a fight between them and people who hate someone based on their appearance.

You've got to have a few PoC in the party to point at so you can claim to not be racist. Most people do see racism as bad even if they support racist policies. They just only see racism in the most cartoonish obvious way. So having a few tokens around alleviates their guilt of being racist.

I have been worried about a potential Reform government for months now but at this rate I doubt they’ll even survive until the next election. As it stands right now they’re still a small-ish party (most of the polls with them far in the lead are after the local elections) and already plagued with infighting.
