Senate Bill 2691/House Bill 2063 would prohibit the “intentional injection, release or dispersion, by any means” of chemicals into the atmosphere with the purpose of affecting temperature, weather or sunlight intensity,

It's actually a ban on geoengineering via aerosol injection, which would be a bit more reasonable. Of course, it wouldn't stop anyone who wanted to do it because you can do it anywhere on Earth and it's probably still rooted in conspiracy theories so w/e.

So they’ve passed a bill to prevent people from affecting temperature and weather. But they also think the idea that human activity affects the weather and temperature is a hoax ohnoes

Climate change is fake, but the Weather Dominator from GI Joe is real.

Yeah I think there are various conspiracy theories on the right that geoengineering to mitigate climate change is a democrat / bill gates / Soros plot to do… something. Somewhat different from the chemtrails thing I think.

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 21 points 1 month ago

It's officially that. But I think the LA GOP doesn't really give a shit. I think the bill is more red meat for their conspiracy theory brain insane base.

Air conditioning banned in Louisiana lol

[–] Coolkidbozzy@hexbear.net 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

so burning off excess natural gas is banned right anakin-padme-2

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 8 points 1 month ago

Nope, the purpose of that isn't to affect temperature, weather, or sunlight intensity, it just does that independently, so it's fine. Just like how this doesn't stop chemtrails because Big Chemtrail can just say they're used for mind control.

[–] OgdenTO@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Interesting that it doesn't ban the release of mind-control chemicals

[–] BodyBySisyphus@hexbear.net 7 points 1 month ago

It's a strategic loophole, clearly

So... No more flights over louisiana?

[–] userofnames@hexbear.net 25 points 1 month ago (2 children)

would this create a no-fly-zone?

Nearly everybody with a job in civilian air travel in Louisiana has gotten fired. On one those maps with planes in flight over the US - 24/7 there are no commercial planes flying over the state. Officially - if you want fly - you have to drive to an airport in a different state. Military aircraft is allowed to fly because God Bless Louisiana and all that shit. Not surprisingly - military aircraft use explodes by 2,000%. There's a very lucrative black market for very rich civilian to fly however they want. It's so brazen the military uses civilian airports and airstrips due to continuing and continual high confidence antifa threats. And - of course - woke threats always exist and are highly dangerous too.

i can't tell if this is fact or fiction

[–] BountifulEggnog@hexbear.net 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Only the FAA can regulate airspace in the US. It could mean to landings or take offs though.

[–] VILenin@hexbear.net 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Public airports cannot impose curfews or selective flight bans without FAA approval, doubly so if they have a grant

Oh cool, I'm more familiar with how it effects drone flying. Thank you good to know.

Now pass a bill to ban HAARP and we'll have the Illuminati on the ropes!

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 16 points 1 month ago (1 children)

We'll have the Illuminati on the ropes!

Ban any form of vaccination too. Untold amounts of data (and DNA?) is being uploaded to the Illuminati Motherships.

Here in Italy people started to share this figure claiming that this is the diagram of the 5G chip that has been inserted in the covid vaccine. In reality it is the electric circuit of a guitar pedal and I believe that putting it in the covid vaccine has been an excellent idea.

In other news - google actually worked. There should be a Wikipedia page that describes the feeling when you google but you assume you'll have to keep googling for at least three minutes but google actually works on the first try and you're almost amazed.

[–] PaulSmackage@hexbear.net 4 points 1 month ago

Getting injected with the 5g chip the philadelphia way - by getting 9v batteries thrown at you.

[–] ConcreteHalloween@hexbear.net 15 points 1 month ago

So, they're basically just banning jet flights then.

[–] P1d40n3@hexbear.net 12 points 1 month ago

The planes didn't deserve 9/11

[–] kleeon@hexbear.net 9 points 1 month ago

finally some good news

[–] Fidels_Beard@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

Hey, I'll always support less plane pollution even if it is spun in a way that only cookers could come up with. Let's try convince them that all coal plants are chemtrails too. Fuck it
