For the trans people: We love you just like everybody else. Know what? I love you more than everybody else, because you fucking deserve it, knowing what these fucks make you go through.
There's people that like you the way you are nearby. Needs to be said from time to time.

“transvestigation” is a transphobic conspiracy theory advanced over the past eight years, adherents to which believe countless celebrities, politicians, and other public figures are secretly transgender”

wtf did I read? What is this shit? Why?

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 7 points 18 hours ago

Last I'd heard they were a small faction of right wing conspiracists, who hadn't even gained much traction in the heyday of qanon, but 53,000 members in one Facebook group is concerning. It getting to the point a fox news host is calling an actor from the office a trans man is concerning as well. The right wing war on consensus reality is unfortunately succeeding quite well.

“'Of course almost all models, especially agent models and Victoria secret models are mostly [trans women],' one wrote."

The Transexual Empire and its consequences have been an unmitigated disaster for the human species.

[–] TheJesusaurus@sh.itjust.works 3 points 16 hours ago

There's never been 2 less trans people on earth

“Of course almost all models, especially agent models and Victoria secret models are mostly [trans women],” one wrote.

"All the hot women are secretly trans."

My kingdom for their therapist's notes.

If I said that they'd call me a delusional [slur] and say I should be locked up.

But this idea originates in one of the most batshit academic texts of the late 20th century: "The Transsexual Empire" by Janice Raymond (former advisor to the US Congress on trans issues). In it among her claims are basically that amab people are better at everything than afab people including being attractive and desirable women. She also believes this to be a problem and proposes more or less the total elimination of trans people from the public sphere. It's not a fun crazy book, it's a "I've fallen down the rabbit hole of hate and will attempt to bring others with me" book.

Like yeah some trans women are really hot, and modeling often prioritizes bodies that have traits we're more likely to have like prominent faces, abnormal tallness, and an anorexic shape. But firstly, that's fashion modeling that prefers that body type, and second historically you've had to have gone stealth to a degree that's nearly impossible these days to get one of those jobs while trans.

These people are really uncomfortable with the reality that some trans people look cis (and some cis people routinely get mistaken for trans) and have entered a level of delusion that I honestly struggle to comprehend.

Isn't the logical conclusion to replace all women with amabs, save a small breeding population?

Sounds like she's just has delusions of inadequacy

[–] jacksilver@lemmy.world 2 points 12 hours ago

Ah, she must have also seen Bend Her - the Futurama episode where bender changes genders to win at the Olympics (and subsequently woos calculon).

[–] Vorticity@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

Oh, that person is way too alpha for therapy.

Literacy has betrayed me again

[–] TheMinister@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 day ago

The part that had me shaking my head was the quote about how “obviously all Victoria’s Secret and fashion models are trans.” Like…the most womanly group of women who are chosen for their womanly features?

And the other part where they said Charlie Kirk was trans “that’s why he’s so pretty” lol

[–] ieatpwns@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago

How bout they investigate those files and who gave bubba head

Yeah, they totally missed the mark!

The conspiracy usually involves armchair phrenology,

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 78 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I don't think they're going after Charlie, I think they're going after his wife. And I think it's because they don't want her stepping into Charlie's shoes and becoming a competing influence in a crowded world (though honestly I don't think she has much of a chance because she's a woman and maga is entirely too male-centric). But she's just starting to try to pull together a power base, and suddenly, miraculously, she's accused of being trans. If she doesn't fight the rumors, they'll get more outrageous and if she does fight then, she loses momentum. I'm not sure who's pulling this, but if I had to place a bet, I'd guess Fuentes.

[–] JustEnoughDucks@feddit.nl 1 points 7 hours ago

First they tried accusing her of running a child trafficking ring in Romania.

But I guess then they figured out that probably made the Guardians Of Pedophiles party like her more.

[–] Burninator05@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago

I remember a conspiracy about her being trans within a couple of days of Charlie's murder. It just seems to have come back up again because (reasons).

It always seems to boil down to women not being feminine enough.

[–] AnarchistArtificer@slrpnk.net 12 points 1 day ago

And apparently the evidence for this is that she competed in beauty pageants? I swear, I'll never understand these people

[–] hannesh93@feddit.org 27 points 2 days ago (2 children)

That's why you have all those MAGA Barbies with enough plastic-surgery to cross into uncanny valley territoriy

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 25 points 2 days ago

Unironically gender affirming care.

[–] stringere@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 days ago

They're calling it mar-a-lago face.

[–] FireRetardant@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

Yet she was somehow feminine enough when Charlie was alive

[–] xyzzy@lemmy.today 53 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Seriously, when you read the quotes in that article, you realize how many people are undiagnosed schizophrenics.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 4 points 17 hours ago

Yeah the internet conspiracy community has created powerful outlets for undiagnosed and anti treatment schizophrenics. Gangstalking is the one that made it really click for me how much of a problem it is.

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They're gearing up for their night of the long knives, where they take out a shitload of people, some of their own, and try and blame it all on an out crowd. In this case, trans and gays instead of communists, but they'll; probably say the trans and gays are communist just for good measure.

[–] notwhoyouthink@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Same playbook that is time tested. It’ll be the ‘mentally ill’ next, and that will be a very large blanket to throw around as it’s always been.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 3 points 17 hours ago

They're already building a concentration camp for the mentally ill. Fascism feels like it's one after another but it's syncretic oppression. The pro police killing without consequences, the surveillance, the jackbooted thugs arresting immigrants and sending them to a torture camp, the concentration camp for holding the mentally ill and homeless as they're forced to do labor, the demands for increasing executions including for crimes that have traditionally not been executable offenses, the claiming trans people and drag performers are pedophiles, demonizung their opponents and treating protest as terrorism and rioting… That's a mishmash of things the right has been doing for the past decade on and off, here and there, drastically accelerating in the past year. But once they have a tool they aren't afraid to use it on others or expand its use. That's how SWAT techniques began being used every day on people who may have filled out immigration paperwork a bit wrong.

In nazi Germany the concentration camps were originally created for criminals and political prisoners, jews were to be sent to walled ghettos and deported. Death camps were made for sex criminals such as trans people (they had declared trans people all to be sex criminals). Who they targeted was irrelevant, the goal was always to attack whomever they could use to justify further expansion of party and personal power. Often going above and beyond to impress those above them in the party.

Eventually, yes they will come for you, whoever you are, but by the time they start targeting random groups like Catholic priests, they'll have already built the full industrial process of oppression.

It's no surprise if you know history.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Oh, she definitely pegged him. 100%. I don't know about the trans part, but the butt stuff is a guarantee. You can totally tell.

[–] Limonene@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

You can butt-stuff-shame people who would have condemned others for doing butt stuff.

[–] ryper@lemmy.ca 30 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

They have two kids, and the article doesn't mention how the transvestigators are dealing with Erika's pregnancies. Do they think she faked it twice, or did she not make public appearances while pregnant?

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 43 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Like that stopped them before. Michelle Obama also has two kids. These people are not well in the head.

[–] andros_rex@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

With the “Micheal Obama” shit, they have two specific missing children’s cases that they claim Malia and Sasha secretly are. It’s ghoulish.

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 16 points 2 days ago

It was obviously the COVID vaccine. Either that or Tylenol. It's well known that those things will make anyone pregnant, it's just something they don't want you to know!

Ooooh. I don't know if I want it as a superhero or to use in an rpg but. The Transvestigator!

[–] Zier@fedia.io 2 points 2 days ago

She's too ugly to be trans.
