i also think its generally misogynistic that if a womans partner dies shes often hyperanalyzed, if she goes 'too soon' (whats the scientific measurement of this?) on a date she clearly never loved the partner and is loose. life is short and a lot of people want love. also having people live with you can lessen the burdens of child rearing and the economy, so...

not in the current budget sense, no, but (a) with lib hat on - would be harder for dems to say we can't do good things (b) with a nihilist hat on - destabilizing economics of american budget into further erratic movements is good (c) functionally it requires more ironclad grip during any majority by capital on its servants, you can't just buy two manchins, you'll have to buy 5 or 6, which will increase their attrition rates
