Con letitud poderosa is one of the best things Chris christodoulou ever did.
It's third for me, behind now I am become death and tropic of cancer.
Wario World pause screen
The only pause screen that apologizes
FF14's emotional high point and its action climax both fit the bill. I've read nothing but complaints about the latest expansion and I think that's because everyone kinda recognizes that the game ended with Endwalker and nothing else they do in this universe will ever hit the same again.
There are SO many absolutely amazing tracks in the FF14 OST, it has to be unmatched in terms of sheer volume of bangers. Even the Shinryu fight at the climax of the Stormblood DLC (which I didn't really care for) hits some real emotional notes that got me hyped in the moment.
If I can vent for a moment, I've been gaming for a long, long time and I've always loved JRPGs. I never touched FF11 and was pretty much set to avoid FF14 as well. Then I saw the Answers video for the launch of 2.0 and, no joke, was literally weeping for characters I didn't even know. So I started playing and focused on the story. In that regard, it has its ups and downs given the genre, but the totality of it up through Endwalker is one of the greatest stories ever told. Shadowbringers alone is so incredible, I could gush about it for paragraphs. I give them full credit for actually having the integrity to essentially end the game. You fight the embodiment of universal entropy. I don't know what you could do after that, but I haven't touched Dawntrail and haven't seen much reason to.
For a few beats from Shadowbringers for the actual thread itself:
Nah fuck that.
It's Twinning.
Also qualifies for sure, I could sit here all day just listing bangers from the ff14 ost
I can't be in a game OST thread without sharing Mythic Power from Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.
As a bonus, Private Gestral Club from Clair Obscur is a bop. All the the music in that game is incredible, but this one is just such a different style compared to the rest of the soundtrack.
Killer tracks. Both games are on the backlog for sure
I could spend all night coming up with stuff, but I'll rep a more underground game and suggest stuff from Star Fetchers. It's got such a crazy style to it. I love it.

Star Fetchers Pilot - What If We
Star Fetchers Episode 1 - Bottom Feeder
The combat/mission climax songs Jesper Kyd did for Darktide are absolutely unmatched imo. It's all this pounding industrial edm imitating organ music and choir chanting but chopped up with a heavy bass line that matches and elevates every vibe the rest of the art design that it appears alongside is going for. I would honestly put these on par with some of Hiroyuki Sawano's iconic work for anime series.
Best examples: Light of the Imperium and Disposal Unit both hit so hard.
Disposal Unit is such a banger and is somehow made even better when the chatter from the characters is laid over top of it as well.
I'd add Guillaume David who did the Mechanicus soundtrack. It's not as pumping and driving since it's a different game genre, but he REALLY captured the vibe of the universe and the Mechanicus in general. Children of the Omnissiah as an example.
Super Mario World athletic theme
pyre is so fucking underrated man
this game was made with a revolutionary heart and the context im sure is lost on libs and normies but if any of you can get past the niche sports part (its more fun you might expect, i promise) its one of the best gaming stories out there

I was going to respond with the theme for Pictionary on the NES in response and in doing so, realized that it's the same composer.
Tim Follin the goat. his brother Geoff (rip) was pretty good too
Basement: Resident Evil Director's cut
I wanna be a huge nerd.
Everything by Dong-Il Kwak aka Sevin. He was the primary composer for Ragnarok Online which has some of the most influential and nostalgic soundtracks to ever exist. Literally everything he has done since has been rad too. His range is incredibly broad, he writes orchestral, rock music, jazz, club music, vocals, non-vocals, easy listening vibes to grind to, everything.
His problem however is that he's never been on a game that's been big enough to make him a household name, unlike say composing for Final Fantasy. Also he uses the alias Sevin and then also hides his name behind groups like SFA and SoundTemp, further hiding him despite his name being the one that shows up on everything that's special.

Don't just listen to what I link to click around the SFA tracks, his range is rad, dude deserves a top game to compose for.
To stick to the theme of the thread I'll also say the dungeon music for The Twinning had absolutely no right going as hard as it does. It goes so hard it became a meme unto itself because the music stopped for generic boss music before continuing after.

Warp Wet Woods Moondisc Version from Moon Remix RPG:
Give it a minute for the beat to drop. And definitely play the game if you haven’t, it got an English translation some years back by Tim Rogers of Action Button and is a classic.
yeah nice buildup and release on that one
Red Sun
Dovahkiin from skyrim
Ah man, I was gonna suggest Hopes and Dreams. Anyway, maybe a basic answer, but Lord Gwyn's theme from Dark Souls is pretty and tragic.
Far from Umineko (I cannot link it because the comments section is just chock full of spoilers)
