Words cannot express how much I hate these. As soon as I saw the image, I recoiled.
No offense to your preferences of course

the ones with the diagonal crease are just awful.
just use a knockoff george foreman or toaster oven.
But why?
it turns the bread into a weird texture, and reduces all the ingredients into a mush/sheet (which is cool if you like that)
Like I said, the sandwhich maker is not about making something delicious, I kinda see it like I see these randomly flavoured freezer food. Yes, it tastes like shit and dosent taste like the original dish at all, but does it taste kind of like an Egg Benedikt while being something you can take with you in a lunchbox? Yes.
helluva url there
I'd suggest just getting a normal panini press instead, it's what every kitchen I've ever worked in has used. For a rule of thumb, the less specialized your kitchen gadget is, the more dependable it'll be.
Yep the flat hotplate style ones are much more versatile than the ones with pre-set sandwich grooves ime
Hands are my sandwhich maker
Hands dont seal your Sandwhiches Airtight
My mouth does though
Oh I love this thing, we have had three over the years because it wears out pretty fast in a family of sandwich people.
I love doing ones with avocado. Tomato+mozzarella+basil is also amazing. Salsa type stuff also great.
And a sweet version with nutella and berries/fruit or such is so good too. Throw some ice cream on it and it's a great treat.
The Tracy Jordan Meat Machine takes bread out of the equation!
what a waste of money and countertop space
i got something like that but just for eggs. it makes 1 egg
anyways i just use a pan to make grilled snadwiches and the pan isnt inhibited if i bake bread and its of a nonstandard size
but why not get a real toaster oven, which is much more versatile?
one of these:
or one of these, if you like that retro east german feel:
I'm intrigued. I tend to shy from dumbass kitchen gadgets but am also a sucker for convenience
A pressed sandwich can be great! I prefer the kind wrapped in parchment paper and pressed with weight, myself (cold sandwiches). Or the kind where you just put another (cast iron) pan on top while frying it.
