MODERATORS
Musk caused a lot of problems mainly while he was being self serving. He fired a lot of FAA leadership and mass laid off air traffic controllers. He wanted to steal a contract from Verizon for SpaceX. Aircraft incidents increased almost immediately. DOGE also led cuts at NOAA which NWS relies on. There was a surprise tornado in the midwest a couple of months ago and flash flood in Texas. These events claimed lives. I blame Musk. Musk is at least partially responsible for Trump gaining power whether he hacked vote tabulations or not.
There could not be a worse bad actor to be involved in our politics. I like the idea of a centrist party but want Musk to not be involved at all.
Musk and Centrist Party cannot be used in the same sentence. Dude is a nazi.
Well when the Republicans are far-right and the Democrats are right, a centrist party would be halfway in between them, so it does seem to be accurate.
Nah, he's just as far-right as the rest of the Nazis. He just disagrees on some points.

He's just trying to apease the frustrated to get a voter base... But the real plan here is to dilute the democratic voter base even further cementing the republicants to stay in power.
If those party comes in 2nd, he'll just conceed and give his votes to the Republican candidate.
If they win, then hell just cozy up to Republicans anyway.
Remember RFK Jr when he ran as independent.

Damn, I had not considered that. I should have known that this was yet another ploy to keep fascism in power. I mean, after the Nazi salute, I should have kept that in mind when examining why he does what he does.
i dont think hes drawing any dem supporters, rfk jr AND jill russian stein mostly drew republican voters, or people that "are undecided" i was following rfk jrs voter campaigns and he mostly got the people that usually dont vote, or the undecided and some republicans.

I wonder what his party's stance is on taxing the rich.
If he'd be smart, he'd do a hiiiigh tax on every rich person. Up to a fortune of, let's say, his fortune. Would be hard to not vote for him then 😁
Hopefully this will be like a first up tech startup where they are super successful for a while, then someone else comes along and does it better.
Hopefully it'll act as a spoiler against the republican candidate, opening the door for a progressive party to also form without causing a far-right candidate to get elected.

I'm hoping we get ranked choice voting more widespread because of it.
Honestly this is a great and perfectly realistic outcome. Of course, assuming ICE doesn't just seize all the voting machines for the next election and Trump wins by 104% (which I think is a lot to ask at this point).
If, somehow, we have free and fair elections coming up, then a splintered right from the bullshit Musk and Joe Rogan put together or whatever, and a splintered left because their constituents want them to stop making it legal to hunt Palestinians for sport, makes it perfectly sensible that the dinosaurs who run our government could declare that some form of post-19th-century voting system that would enable a little bit fairer outcome than FPTP is what's needed. And, when the dinosaurs want something to happen, it usually actually happens, without all this molasses speed when it is merely because of people dying or whatever the problem the regular people are having is.

2.4 Government Finance and Spending

Government does not have the authority to define, promote, license, or restrict personal relationships, regardless of the number of participants. Consenting adults should be free to choose their own sexual practices and personal relationships. Until such time as the government stops its illegitimate practice of marriage licensing, such licenses must be granted to all consenting adults who apply.
