Don't take this the wrong way, but they might actually have done you a favor. Blahaj.zone is a really shitty place for trans people. Not only they do tolerate chasers, but they act like any heavy handed approach to moderation in order to protect the trans community is "authoritarian". And then when these same chasers start lashing out at trans people because they dare to call a chaser out on something they've said (or like what happened recently when they asked to have their neopronouns respected), they act surprised.
We've had multiple talks with one of their admins in the past, because we were both interested in federating. These talks went nowhere because their admin would demand we make changes to our community to accommodate them, while simultaneously not being willing to make any changes themselves (like getting rid of chasers). To this day, this admin is still publicly lying about the reason why these talks fell through, and they'll occasionally talk shit about us. The most disgusting thing they've done so far though, is claiming that trans people on Hexbear are not trans, essentially denying people's gender identity. That's just straight up transphobia, and as far as I'm concerned that has burned all bridges.
So in short: fuck 'em. Don't feel sad, because we have the best trans community in the fediverse. 
Fuck them. I'm pretty sure I was in the discord community where the shork mascot was first recognised and the genesis of that community. I forget what I was kicked out over but it was clearly something stupid since I am a flawless, faultless individual.

IIRC the chasers came from 196 and that comm is like 90% of the instance's traffic.
Yeah, Blahaj's user base got a big boost from r/196 users who were looking for an alternative after the whole Reddit API controversy. They brought all the fetishization and V*ush 
culture with them.

To clarify, the admin didn't say this, but yeah a lot of their users have been saying this
Lemmy blahaj is weird. They have butted heads with us in the past because they allow chasers in their ranks and we do not, among other things. They've been pretty bad faith all around, so I wouldn't put much stock in what they think of you.
