No way, 10 stars!

Since Alnitak is a 3 star system, Alnilam is a single supergiant, and Mintaka is a 6 star system.

Right? Is that part of the belt, or is it a belt adjacent accessory?

10 stars, would watch this constellation again!

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

6 starts sounds quite unstable, unless is a big one with 5 little ones(in star terms)

[–] Aurenkin@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

[–] Aurenkin@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I didn't catch the joke at first because my stupidity acted up and thought it said "Onion's Belt" lmao.

Isn't Vulcan supposed to orbit one of the stars in Orion's belt?

[–] Szyler@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Not a universal joke. 3/10^24 stars.
