I have a buddy with adhd and he's also a musician.

He forgot he had to make a music video.

Not like he really ought to make one to market himself. He is contractually obligated to make a music video and he forgot.... well he forgot until it was just barely possible if everything went smoothly and he ran himself ragged.

Shut up mom.

I went to my boss to ask for some time off and she reminded me that I had already requested the same days off weeks ago, been approved, talked about plans, then forgotten all of it.

I legit forgot my roommate's name in college while he was right in front of me.

Nothing wounds me more than people saying if I cared I'd remember

“Wow in all my decades on this planet I’ve never heard that before and you saying it just now has completely solved the problem! It’s just a lack of perspective! Wow that was so easy! So I guess you forgot about your wedding anniversary last week because it wasn’t important?”

Seriously though - because people just expect me to forget things I get absolutely dog piled if I forget even the smallest thing, but when other people forget things they also remind me that I forget things all the time and give me the “it’s important so remember” nonsense. It drives me crazy.

I still say that, knowing fully damn well that it probably was important and I going to feel like shit later for forgetting.
