Is he going to make it to the election?

I do wonder if there would be enough of a rally around her in response to Biden's death that could overcome the disadvantages of a racist, sexist electorate. Because otherwise, I just see her getting destroyed.

had to exit the primary before it went to her own state because her polling was so bad top-cop

[-] JoeByeThen@hexbear.net 14 points 3 months ago

Oh yeah, totally... but! USian brainworms go into super activation mode in the face of "tragedy." And again, we're only really talking about the 5 or 7 swing states. I would expect all your typical red/blue states to maintain their usual outcome.

If she's the nominee trump wins 40 states.

It's hilarious to consider that Kamala Harris might be the single national Democrat less electable than Joe Biden. DNC really knocking it out of the park since 2008 amerikkka-clap

honestly I think it might be a toss-up between Kamala and Hillary, fuck that would be a sick-ass debate to watch if I were still into popping muscle relaxers and drinking

she withdrew one day before the deadline to be off the ballot, early December (CA primary was March 3)

[-] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 15 points 3 months ago

avoided a disastrous result in her home state by the skin of her teeth

[-] emizeko@hexbear.net 17 points 3 months ago

just remembered how she had two campaign HQs that would argue with each other

[-] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 14 points 3 months ago

lmao I had forgotten about that! One was run by her actual campaign manager, one was run by her sister, I think? Clearly this person has the management and delegation experience to run a nation!

[-] BurgerPunk@hexbear.net 9 points 3 months ago

Kamala didn't even make it to Iowa lol

It's tricky.

They can't work any faster. It certainly will be ready by about mid-November but - of course - that's far too late. Biden 2.0 has remained stubbornly in beta for years now. They've got a hard choice to make. Do they keep Biden at 1.65.774 and hope and pray he makes to election day without a catastrophic failure? It's 1.65.774 or 2.0. There's no middle ground. There are too many inoperabilities. They could put out 2.0 in about a month or so and then hope and pray that version doesn't have bugs that will cost him the election. They're fucked either way.
