The song is pretty far removed from reason and they conflate a lot of unrelated stuff, but there are some issues that they rightfully address: people who openly show their Jewishness in Europe are risking being attacked. Attacking someone who wears a Kippa or torching synagogues is not critiquing Israel but it does happen and perpetrators justify it with pro Palestinian stances.

i'm not saying it doesn't happen but it's massively over exaggerated by the media, and the inverse islamophobia that's more prevalent and structural throughout society gets ignored. Our society isn't systematically committing genocide against jews, it's doing it against muslims. Yet the conversation is about jews being the victims still, it's a distraction ploy when used in the current discourse

Our society isn’t systematically committing genocide against jews, it’s doing it against muslims.

In a way, it’s kind of both.

Nah this is stupid this entire line of argument is misplaced

Can you provide evidence of neo-nazis who actually justify their antisemitism as being pro-Palestine? Anti-jewish violence from fascists has been a constant throughout the years, including years where Israel/Palestine has gotten much less attention, and to this date the only people I have never seen an actual example of what you describe. I have heard the claim a million times from zionists, though.

There you go. This is at a neo nazi housing project, the banner says "Israel is our misfortune".

[-] WideningGyro@hexbear.net 3 points 7 months ago

That's... not antisemitic? You can tell me that the people who hung that banner are nazis, and you might be right, but being anti-zionist is not the same as being anti-semitic. Do you have any actual examples of what you're claiming happens?

I beg to differ. This is the original the Nazis' banner was referring to. Everyone in Germany knows that line and what it means, sorry I didn't add context

The incidence of islamophobic hate crimes in Germany has doubled since October, Germany's anti-BDS resolution and attacks on postcolonial studies are carbon copies of AfD proposals, accusations of antisemitism are used to silence Jewish people criticizing Israel and these chauvinist dinguses are opening up with nods to racial stereotypes about Arab communities in Berlin and lines directly attacking anti-racists. Literally not a single bar in that track was written in good faith.

Attacks on jews don't stop happening just because there are also attacks on muslims.

[-] AutomatedPossum@hexbear.net 6 points 7 months ago

Are you really that dense? I'm not saying that antisemitism isn't a problem, i'm saying that you are defending a bunch of racist concern trolls who barely try to hide their islamophobia behind their fake concern for Jewish people. The entire song is one long litany of anti-muslim and anti-left thought terminating clichés.
