That being?
Apparently being aware of the nature of empire lmao. And they've never heard a Democrat do any realpolitik I guess
Affinity for autocratic states. Ones who silence media they disapprove of, for example.
Trump recently said he will be banning CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from covering the White House. This is obviously just a tiny first step toward the total control of the media that your role models in the Chinese and Russian governments wield, but you gotta start somewhere.
How did the democratic party react to protests on campuses against the Gaza genocide again?
He can say whatever he wants. In the end just like every other president he is doing politics for the bourgeois class, who own that very same media and understand it is a tool to manufacture consent (e.g. for the Gaza genocide).
Republicans have an affinity for China? Damn I didn't know, that's sick though
Trump does, just like he does for Kim Jong-un. Republicans in general admire Putin’s Russia, but still hate China because the Chinese aren’t white - not because of their authoritarian government.
Which race do you recommend we start hating when we complete our transformations? Does it have to be the Chinese?
Here's a handy lib-approved chart:
omfg you liberals are so incredibly chauvinistic and racist that it's baffling how you have no self-awareness when you make stinkers like these
Is that why he has increased sanctions and tarrifs on the DPRK and China? Because he loves them?
What are you basing this "authoritarian" claim on? What freedoms do you think an average Chinese person are missing?
I’m basing it on their system of government, which is ruled by one man who will rule for life.
This is some hilarious lib shit, gonna leave it up so everyone can dunk on you until you become a communist.
Woohoo, someone’s power tripping! 😂
Their system is more democratic (as in the average person is actually heard and can influence the direction of their representatives):

Not that the U.S. has any claim to be "democratic" when it is a Republic that js designed to ignore the will of the people. Look up what the founding fathers had to say about "democracy".
I honestly applaud your willingness to stabilize your own world view by 'engaging' with your (self acclaimed) enemies. I really don't see any other purpose but to keep up your probably faltering believe in an obviously failing system. Nobody here is going to convince you about anything (and no one is trying) because every second you literally waste on here is only used to cement what you so desperately try to keep believing. It is a weird strength I admire in some fashion. I wonder what you will do 'IF' your 'democracy' fails.
If you were sincerely ready to question at least part of your believes you would be wise to educate your self. You always can.
Pretty sure they're just trying to get banned for posting liberal nonsense, so they can complain about how authoritarian the tankies are
I hope we keep them around forever
They aren't 'engaging', they are regurgitating.
What Trump has an affinity for is a 'culture of respect' and recognition of power, that exists within these countries, which develops out of a political environment where saying things actually has real consequences. Where saying some bullshit that you haven't carefully considered is dangerous because you could be held personally liable for it. It is the same reason he likes the mafia, because they pretend to have that kind of culture (if it actually ever existed or not is debatable).
It's an irony because he is in the position he is in precisely because the U.S. doesn't have this culture of respect at all, because none of our opinions matter. The machinery of the capitalist state will just keep grinding on, and nobody in power is ever held liable for any of the dumb and dangerous shit they do and say, because otherwise they might actually have to fix things.
That said, there is a reason they do this though. The reason that Caeser seized power was to protect himself from prosecution in the Senate. So the theory goes that If you never prosecute people for their political crimes, you never get a Caesar. Which works out pretty damn well for the oligarchs.
They brought a pool noodle to a gunfight, lol.
Believe is a verb. The noun is belief.
Being this pedantic has gotta be exhausting right, they probably got auto corrected. I assume still easier than engaging with what they said I guess.
I just assumed English wasn’t their first language and was doing them a solid. I like it when someone tells me I’ve been spelling or pronouncing a word wrong all my life.
I didn’t address the content of the comment because it was just limp psychologizing.
I'm glad you were grateful when people corrected you about using the words "colonize" and "settler colonial" incorrectly and when people pointed out you were doing nazi apologia with your "just following orders" bit
ohhh right but usually you assume EVERYONE you ever talk to is Amerikan because you are so self-centred and a self-absorbed fascist that you start crying and shitting yourself every time things don't go your way.
Death to every Amerikan troops
My stalker 🥰
Well now you know I don’t always assume everyone online is American.
You're... literally in the hexbear com.
I know tell me about it..
No stalking, you just show up and post garbage where I frequent. Go back to reddit where a lot of Amerikan bootlickers are.
I deleted my reddit account when they killed all the third party apps
I don't care, reddit is literally the place for you and your type of Amerikan-brained posts.
I know, but I don’t like the official app, and reddit in general is worse now than it used to be. Lemmy is fine.
Yeah it still shows that this is my second language. Thanks.
"What are we, a bunch of asians?!?"
I love it when libs try to own people via things they clearly have no understanding of.
You really think that’s an accurate paraphrasing of what I said? This place is all memes and straw men.
The weren't trying to paraphrase you, they were making fun of you for characterizing things typical of Western liberalism and fascism as something foreign because you're a racist indoctrinated with liberal xenophobia that serves the class that rules over you
Your concept of "autocratic" states is infantile and it's very silly for shitlibs to get riled up about Donald Trump banning some news outlets from the White House when your entire media apparatus is owned by the same interests the White House also acts in favor of when neither of them even hides that fact anymore
You chose to come here and get owned, now demonstrate why you think you are right or continue your pathetic evasions.
I remember watching the Dems and msm justify college kids getting the shit beat out of them for sitting in tents with signs.
The "what are we, a bunch of Asians" quip is correctly applied here, as it refers to racists like you using a negative, reductive, and false comparison to Asian people to hypocritically deflect from criticisms of abhorrent things you support.
You don't want state-controlled media, because liberals prefer media to be a for-profit business owned and beholden to oligarchs in the American style, as this is beneficial to their position.
When liberals are confronted on their inability to change an oppressive government, they raise on the highest of pedastals their ability to criticize it as if this means anything.
The country leading the largest green transition and the one turning numerous Nazis into fertilizer every day are examples to follow. All liberals have to offer is empty complaints and complicit inaction in the face of war, climate disaster, and genocide.
The oppressor can expect neither mercy nor trust from the oppressed.
Calling autrocratic regimes is in Asia autocratic makes you racist against Asians. Got it. Braindead take.
Yes in fact, because your definition of "authoritarianism" I this case only applies to non-whites and your "enemy".
A liberal has never advocated for Republicans to be bombed or starved for their " authoritarianism", they must only be voted against every 8 years.
You are showing your ass to people who have a deep understanding of concepts you sophomorically attempt to bludgeon us with. The logical and moral bankruptcy of your inane regurgitations time and again have been exposed, and now all that is left is to continue to watch you devolve into insults and retreat into your derangement syndromes to further insulate you from a reality that has left you powerless and irrelavant.
Why do you all talk like this? Universally, your ability to argue or reason out a point breaks down after about two replies so you resort to a kind of default, smug, profoundly irritating template. 1st generation chatgpt had a larger context window than you.
We’re genetically inferior to you
Hey, you chose not to cultivate conscious thought and introspection, victims of injury didn't get that choice.
AuToCrAtIc
shut the fuck up
Seems like you were already scratched before you even got into this thread lmfao
What happenes to media that reported on "Israeli" war crimes? Media that exposed Ukraine's Nazis? Media left of Reagan? Your "free" press is only the freedom to promulgate hate speech and rehabilitate criminals.
